Amazing!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been keeping an eye on this product's site for about a month now, and was thrilled to see that it was available in Best Buy stores. I paid for it online and went to get it as soon as I got the email saying it was ready for pickup. The first thing I noticed about the product is how comfortable the earphones are. I started setting them up, making sure to follow the directions in the box precisely, and the connection to my iPhone 6s was a breeze. Occasionally, the earphones lost their connection, but only for a brief second once or twice (honestly, it may have been from me touching them). All in all, I'm very satisfied with these.

Completely Wireless
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these as a motivation to run more. I love that these are completely wireless and that it comes with a wireless charging case. I will say these are not for people who are technically challenged. After pairing them and going through the manual (which I usually avoid reading), it was very easy to use. They work great at the gym and when I'm on a run. I was concerned that they would fall out of my ear like regular earbuds tend to do but these are great. They stay in place and there are different tips to adjust to your ear size.

Five Star for Experienced Ear-Budders
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These JLab Epic Bluetooth Earbuds get an A+ for innovation and sound quality. You get a charger that also can be used to charge other devices – I liked and used that unique and useful feature a lot. The sound is wonderful. Nonetheless, a mistake that JLab made which is getting them some bad reviews is relative to their documentation I think. The problem is you do need to use these earbuds a few days at least to ensure the electronics have sync’d on your head. You read that correctly – the shape and density of your head will matter. JLab buries an important note at the bottom of page-4 of their Quick Start Guide. It says these are smart earbuds and the connectivity will improve as you use them. Turns out this is very true. This note however should be on the front cover. Along with many users I got frequent losses of audio in the left earbud (I had used the right earbud to pair). I was about to give up on these earbuds when I saw the somewhat hidden note. I gave it a few more days and suddenly everything was fine. My title sated that you should be experienced users if you want these earbuds: the reason is the controls take a bit of getting use to so that they work precisely, but they will. The nice part of the controls is you have simplicity in the buttons but again you do need to be a bit more dexterous to use them especially if you are jogging. The pairing and power process is very easy. You do have an option to have the buds turn on and pair when you remove them from the charging case – a very useful feature. One other caution is to ensure you place the earbuds and press a little bit into the charging ports and then close the lid. I found a couple times that the left earbud did not charge fully, but if I took care to ensure they were seated in the case – no problems. I did remove the earbuds once and although the lights indicated full charge, the left earbud announced it was low on power after about 10 minutes. In the end I found that the earbuds charge fully and connect flawlessly so it may have been my bad. In summary they are outstanding now and fit so comfortable that I love this over the ear type of design – great. I would recommend these based on my final getting used to them and as I mentioned the buds need to get used to you also.

Reassessing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had written a previous review and given the item 1 star. When I first opened them up and synced them, the connection was horrible. I found out that it was simply signal interference with my bluetooth smartwatch. Annoying..yes...but after using the earbuds for some time without my smartwatch, the quality is excellent. Since I've looked it up online and found out that other users have had issues with android wear smartwatches and bluetooth interference, I can't really blame JLab. My new review is 5 stars....wish I could erase my previous review =)... Buy them....just don't review them until you've given them a fair chance!

Great sounding for music
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Battery life in the case has gotten significantly lower the last few months but they have been a workhorse being used daily for up 6 hours a day since I bought about 4 years ago. There's is no app for this model but they've always sounded great for music on my S22 and before that on a Note 8. Calls have always been hit or miss with some callers saying I sound far away. Calls on my end sounded good. I didn't get these to talk. The controls are pretty simple though my fat fingers only get the skip track and pause functions. Over all I've been very happy with these. They are comfortable to wear though I prefer the ear hooks and I know many don't. I am also seriously considering buying the newest ones from Jlab with ANC.

Just what I needed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded to these after returning the Altec Lansing buds which did not do what I needed (which was to use one while the other charged and to switch them out when the battery level was low) These however are amazing! They make my workday fly by! I can use one while the other is charging and the charge holds for about 5-6 hours and the case will charge a few more times while also doubling as a portable charger for your mobile devices! Was a bit of a hassle to pair them together but once they did connect, they sounded great. A little spotty from maybe 15 feet away as a pair but worked just fine while next to the phone. Individually they exceeded my expectations! The range was approx 40ft and the sound was clear and loud. Just remember that the right earbud controls the volume up function while the left lowers the volume. So if the left earbud is low as was mine out of the box, then you'll have to pair the buds together then raise the volume using the right bud which in turn raises the volume on the left earbud and vice-versa with the left lowering the volume on both buds. VERY SATISFIED!

Prone to malfunction. Went through 3 replacements
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are the absolute worst Bluetooth headphones I've ever purchased. I was pretty excited and bought them upon release, but the problems started from day 1. And I had to cycle through multiple warrantied sets until they simply said no more. First off, it says it is sweat resistant, but let me tell you that it is not. I wanted Bluetooth headphones because I exercise daily and I draw up a lot of sweat. When I first start using the headphones, there was no problem, however about a month into using a fresh new set, the problems start. With my first pair, whenever enough sweat would build up, I would start to get issues with the volume up/down feature on the earbuds itself. This would occur when I'd whisk sweat away from my head and I accidentally touch one of the ear buds. After touching the earbud, the volume would either continue increasing or decreasing with no way of stopping it other than restarting the headphones. It's very frustrating since I'm going to whisk my head many times during a long run. The other big issue is its connectivity. The sound keeps going in and out; when I contacted customer service, the rep said that this was typical of all Bluetooth headsets and that it just takes time for it to learn its environment. Fair enough, but after multiple uses at the gym, at work, and in life in general, I come to realize this was not the case. Every time I turned my head, sound would cut in and out. And this wasn't just with my first pair; the problem persisted with each warrantied replacement I got (and mind you, the replacements were new, not refurbished). What's more, the new pair of Bluetooth headphones I bought to replace these never once had that issue. I was very unhappy with these issues, however at the time, I figured I'd just deal with it and try to be careful. But then the next issue that occurred was the charging case stopped charging one earbud unless I hard pressed it into the slot. What worked was me using a paper towel folded a few times so that it makes hard contact to the charging case. A week goes by and it stops charging all together. After this point, I contacted JLab and they sent me a new charging case. Worked okay for a few weeks then the ear bud stopped charging yet again. When I contacted them about it, they told me to send it back in and they'd send me a new warrantied pair. When I got the new warrantied pair, within a matter of weeks after using them to work out, it stopped charging yet again. This time it was worse; not only did one ear bud quit charging, but both of them got no power. I was beyond frustrated. At this point, I was 1 year beyond my warranty. As a courtesy, they said they would send me a new pair, but that it would be the last time. Knowing that I wouldn't get an opportunity to replace these ear buds again in case of a failure, I decided to be extremely careful with them. I did NOT take them to work out and I used them sparingly. Well, let me tell you, a month after getting the new set, the charging case is refusing to charge. I probably used these ear buds less than 10 times and it is a failure. I will say that the customer service was great. I never felt like I needed to act cross with them. But aside from that, this product is complete junk. Do not buy it. There are way better options for a better price. I bought a pair a few months ago to replace these and have not looked back since.

I can't get any sound
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a runner. I thought it would be cool to have a pair of tru wireless earbuds. Bought these, and got home. Paired these up to my phone. Threw on Pandora to hear the sound quality. I only heard half a song. Very crisp sound. Bass is a little too low for my liking though. I needed to change the in ear rubber adapters. Go them snug and then the sound faded to nothing. Im aware of the touch sensor on both pieces. Touch and hold 1 + sec the volume to raise until let go. Now the sound will not return. Even when I disconnect and or turn on and off. The female voice that tells me the battery level works. I still am not getting any sound from any app. I am going to bring them back for an exchange. I picked these because the over the ear hook. You guys are the only tru wireless ear buds that offer them.

Great headset, BUT YOU NEED TO FIND ONE THAT WORKS
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been a fan of jlab products, and have been waiting for a long time to try these. I have used a LOT of different wireless headsets (sony, lg, motorola, jabees, jbird, etc), and this set has a lot of perfect features that I was looking forward to. The first set of Epic air that I bought had problems connecting between headsets; it just simply wouldn't work. So I returned the next day, and got a replacement. The replacement set, the volume up button wouldn't work, and then the set was stuck at zero volume. then I decided to take a chance and get a third replacement. I am on the third set now, and it works beautifully!! I think that jlab might have a manufacturing/quality issue with these, but if you get one that works it is awesome. Excellent signal, great sound quality, multipoint feature works great switching between PC and phone. single headset works. Case is awesome. Battery life excellent. If you get a set that has issues, return for replacement until you get one that works right.

OUTSTANDING Bang for the buck
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I decided to purchase these since Best Buy was having a sale on them. After reading and looking up (on youtube) reviews I became real hesitant. Got them anyway knowing I could return them for a full refund if I didn't like them. Well I might as well throw away my receipt now. After using these for only a few hours I am hooked! Hands down the best earbuds I have ever used. I have used Jabra Elite coach, Bose Sound Sport Wireless, Jaybird Bluebud X, Beats powerbeats and some off brand from Amazon. My only complaint is that these did not come out before I spent all of that money on the other sets. These are super comfortable, I can wear them from a full charge to completely dead w/o my ears getting fatigued. With all of the options that are included it should be no problem for others to find the perfect fit as well Sound is just simply AMAZING! I actually have to turn these down where with all my other sets I use them at full volume (usuing my android Google Pixwl XL phone) These may not advertise noise canceling but even with no audio playing my 2 kids are drowned out while just having these in my ears. Connection is spot on, I have not had any issues with any audio cut outs what so ever. Phone calls have sounded very crisp, no one has complained about they can not hear me while using these. Built in ability to use my Google assistant is a major plus. JLab, Thank you for creating an amazing product for a lower price. It is greatly appreciated!

OUTSTANDING AUDIO QUALITY~Great Bass~Clean & Clear
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are among the BEST sounding that I have ever tested! Incredible Bass for such a small unit and wireless to boot. I cannot find anything to complain about in these. The sound was very well rounded and crystal clear. I would recommend these for ANYONE looking for top quality sound reproduction. A+++ in my book.

Some connection issues but some good news
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been having some of the earbud to earbud connection problems also. I called JLab support to ask if I should get these replaced and what feedback they have been hearing. Support advised that the earbuds connect using RFC or RF(i forgot which one). Advisded wifi and metal will initially cause problems but the earbuds are smart learning and will adjust after a few uses. Support also went on to tell me he has had the EPIC airs for a while and had the same connection problems in the gym but after 3 or 4 uses he doesn't have connection issues anymore. Each use resulted in less cutouts. I believe this because the gym was the only place i had problems and not around the treadmills but around all the metal workout equip. Just thought I would share

Decent
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. Overall, these earbuds are okay, but it can be confusing and awkward to try to sync them together and to the phone, and then when you are trying to turn them on to use them after the original sync. Connection seemed more stable than a pair of wired JLab earbuds I previously reviewed, and sound was okay.

Fantastic product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Can't say the sound quality or connection is flawless but these headphones are a great example of how completely wireless headphones should work. The battery life is far above any competitor and the design looks more natural than any similar products I've seen. Don't expect two earbuds to pair well outdoors because completely wireless earbuds work better indoors with walls to bounce signals off of. Love the fact that the case can be used as an external battery. Also, accidentally dropped an earbud in the pool and quickly pulled it out. It was still working! Put it in rice, just in case, but just goes to show how well these are built. Keep up the good work JLab.

Lets look forward for an update with these ones
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very awesome idea on the true wireless ear wrap as opposed to to the normal stick-ins that could easily fall out during a work out. These babies not only give quite good treble and quality music, but also great conversational phone calling audio that makes others not even realize your speaking through your buds. I love the nifty charging case with the wrap-around charge cable too! Jlab has a good idea going with these buds but they need improvement. It lacks in bass quality music wise. The connection distance is pretty weak for playing sports where u cant have your phone on you. Also more importantly the controls are really awkward, faulty, and problematic as they go off on their own at times. Really looking forward to an update later on for future buds

Disappointed in the JLab Epic Air
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to love this product so much. Prior to purchasing the JLab Epic Air, I read online reviews on Best Buy, also watched couple of YouTube videos. Finally, I wrote the company directly about the issues that were being reported. They told me, "Best Buy reviews are at a 3.7 which is far from poor. Also to that point, happy people rarely write a review because they got what they expected". With the reply from the company, I proceeded to order the product from Best Buy online. It was delivered on March 30, 2017. Now this is where I found myself reporting on issues... Issues with the earbuds 1. Can take up to >15 seconds or more to connect to the phone's Bluetooth after you turn them on 2. Every time you turn on the earbuds they have problems with working without cutting off within the first minute of operation. 3. Poor connection between the two earbuds, there tend to be dropping in the connection between them. 4. Short Bluetooth Connection - after 10 feet start to experience break-out from the phone while playing music. Thus, unable to get that 30 feet away from device claim. There are no walls or drywall between the phone and the individual (in this case me) wearing the headphones. 5. Slight skip of music whenever I pick up the phone. Basically, this creates random drops with the earbuds. 6. The headphone keeps saying goodbye without indicating what is causing it to shutoff. Basically, it is shutting off by itself. 7. Stop streaming music while it shows Bluetooth is still connected. Normally have to turn off the headphones to reconnect again. 8. Unlocking your phone while music is playing produce slight skipping <2sec of headphones (you can hear it trying to reconnect to each other). 9. Sometimes increasing the volume generate a skipping (referencing to earbuds cutting in and out creating distortion in the sound) of the music being played on the earbuds. 10. Removing one of earbud from your ears tend to cause cutting out of the music being played. Note that this is not all the time, and is not as frequent as the other reported issues. The observation often time happens whenever the left earbud is removed and placed back into the ear. 11. Remove the right earbud sometimes lower the volume slight on the left (this is only temporarily, and it eventually returns to the right level). 12. Observed that the earbuds may cut out/in whenever the next song is about to start. This creates an annoyance since it degrades the experience of listening to the music. 13. Connecting the second earbud if the first was playing the announcement about "Earbud joins" is VERY loud in proportion to the music volume playing at the time. 14. Whenever you stop/pause a playing song, the Epic Air has “white” noise instead of going silent. Put another way, you can create slight background faded noise being generated by the earbuds. 15. Problem playing WhatsApp recording on the earbuds. It doesn’t play the recording without music being played in the background. If you press play for the WhatsApp recording message, the earbuds does not stream it automatically. So, you have to then press the pause/play directly on the earbuds and then you will hear the message being played over the music in the background. Troubleshooting the device Personally I've been doing several different troubleshooting activities with the device. See some of the items from the list below: 1. Unpaired the device, and restarting the pairing with different earbud being the main one 2. Change the main side of the earbud - R to L 3. Turning on the R earbud first before the L (in this case the L was the dominant one) 4. Placing the phone close proximity between the earbuds 5. Charge the case to 100% (all lights are shown) 6. Fully charged earbuds - message is that the earbuds are full which according to the manual means 100% 7. The Smartphone has no other Bluetooth devices connected to it. There is no Smartwatch connected to the phone. 8. Try turning off WiFi signal while operating the Bluetooth earbud headphones. Note this was only done as a way to isolate the above issues, however, I still had issues with them. 9. Disabled NFC on the phone to limit any form of interference (even though this isn’t practical, but did it anyway as a means of isolation) 10. Fully charge the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 to 100% of battery 11. Connected the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 to a power outlet during one the test experience 12. Restarted the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 after pairing the Epic Air 13. Closed all running apps with the exception of the music app that is required to play the songs for testing 14. Tried multiple music playing apps (i.e., Amazon Prime Music, TuneIn Radio, Spotify). Regardless of the music player, still had the issues as reported I was using a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 with the latest OS and security patch. It is important to know that I do like several things about the device, and wish to get a proper working model. 1. Light weight design 2. Comfortable fit, and fits securely in both ears 3. Great isolation of background noise (this is a super plus for enjoying the earbuds) 4. Lots of bass which produce richer sounding music 5. High volume, normally other wireless headphones are weak in this area 6. Single charge battery life of 7hrs (I would like to know the standby battery life though) 7. Carrying case with ability four full charges of the headphones Design improvements 1. JLab Epic Air only allow to hear from one earbud during phone calls. This is not the best experience since it revert the call to monotone instead of producing digital quality 2. Extremely sensitive touch controls. Trouble placing earbuds into ears without play/skip controls being touched in accident Bottom line, after calling JLab Support they told me couple of things. First, it should be expected to get skipping from the product. It was normal for the RF signal to cut out. Second, they were not able to validate all my issues, which may be related to Bluetooth or the RF signal used on the device. Finally, they told me that the device was out of stock as it relates to any type of replacement. They said if I wanted to send it back to them, then I would have to wait, since there wouldn't be one for replacement. In the end, my decision was to return the product to Best Buy. Conclusion, I wanted to love this product so much. It offered a lot that I wanted from a total wireless device. However, in my observation, the delivery fall short. To hear someone from the company inform me that I should expect cut out and skips from the device was totally a disappointment in my mind.

Sound is great, but always had issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the first pair and within the first month they were needing to be replaced. I received the second pair from the company and within two weeks the charging station charging lights stopped working. Now both earbuds will connect to my phone, but they won't connect with each other. Unfortunately they don't seem to be very durable. However, the one positive thing I can say is that when they worked properly they sounded great. I had a few issues with music cutting in and out at times, but overall they had great sound. I personally would not recommend them because they do not seem to be very durable.
