Let's start with Earbuds are LOUD!
Usually when you think "loud" earbuds, you are thinking "loud" as in volume. While these fit that description, what I mean is they are "loud" to look at. These ugly ducklings really stand out in a crowd. No one will wonder if that dude is wearing buds, but they may actually serve as a safety reflection for jogging in the dark.. Just kidding about that of course, but yeah, they stand out.
.
OK, now for the guts... These are true wireless earbuds. They fit firmly in the ears with the available rubber plugs. Important note, the extra plugs are a little bit hidden in the bottom of the cardboard packaging. Once you find your fit, they are adequately comfortable for most workout/jog/walk type exercise's. You won't to be flying from NYC to Tokyo with these but they are great for a solid jog or rip through the weights.
These are "water resistant" [NOT waterproof!] which means they are good for most exercise regimens. You can sweat quite a bit and these will keep going.
As for battery, I honestly have not had a chance to confirm numbers, but they easily lasted 3 hours of jogging and elliptical on just the buds charge. The case can also be charged and
it will charge the buds giving multiple uses without needing to be plugged in.
The sound was good, not great, but for the price they are better than others at same price point. As mentioned in the title, these are a great choice. If for some reason you do lose one [or both], not the end of the world. As compared to other ear buds I've reviewed that are at a three, four, five hundred dollar threshold, I am much more comfortable abusing these than the more expensive ones. That said, these feel like they could take a certain amount of "abuse". They have a solid feel like they could take a bit of a beating and keep on going.
End of the day, I really like these buds. They do what they are supposed to do and won't cost a fortune. Good choice for those on a budget or those who may be concerned about beating their expensive buds to death.
Nice affordable option, JLab!

Good packaging and intrusion manual is clear but the sound is not good. The audio sounds heavily muffled. Also the right ear single tap is turn the music up and that doesn't work well. Comes with cable but you need a USB 5V 1A if you want to actually charge the case.

Do not buy these ear buds. After less than a month the left ear bud does not connect. Fully charged and followed the instructions to reset. Nothing works. This was a junk purchase because I cannot return them now. $30+ dollars wasted.

Solid Gym Buds - Fun Color

I’ve had a chance to try out the new JLab Go Air Sport Wireless Earbuds for a few days now. This JLab setup is focused towards active/sport users. I have been using the more premium Epic Air Sport Buds for 3 years now, so I was interested to see how these stood up. So far I have really enjoyed using the earbuds, and I can see they have some good potential.
Features
The Go’s feature an over the ear hook design (just like my Epic’As), which has served me well while I’m at the gym. These are IP 55 rated, so they are sweat resistant (do not submerge these buds). For my Epics the Bluetooth antenna was in the hook, so severely bending it would break the antenna. I am going to assume that is the case with the Go’s, so I would avoid bending the hooks too sharply. The buds come with 3 different rubber tip sizes.
The buds come loaded with Bluetooth 5.1 and a rated range of 30+ feet. While doing some yard work I was able to walk about 100ft away from my phone with direct line of sight and still have a perfect connection. I’d say that is plenty of range.
Battery life of the buds is pretty solid, and about what I would expect. I charged them up when I first got them and haven’t had to do it since. The buds themselves hold an 8 hour charge – enough for several workout sessions. The case packs another 24 hours to bring the total up to 32 hours. Unlike my Epic Air case, the Go Air case doesn’t have a charge level indicator which is unfortunate. The case retains JLab’s integrated charge cable setup, which I have always found to be convenient.
Pairing was very easy (I’m on Android). Followed the directions and paired right away. After the initial pairing I just have to pull one of the buds out of the case and its paired in a few seconds. When I’m done with them I make sure to wipe the sweat off the buds, and drop them in the case. Once they are docked the pairing is severed.
Fit/Comfort
I found the buds to be very comfortable even without the foam tips I am accustomed to on my Epic. The buds are pretty light, and the ear hooks do their job of supporting the weight of the buds without adding pressure to the ear canal. There’s 3 different rubber tips to choose from – I wear the medium. I am in the process of picking up the foam tip kit that JLab sells on their website in order to replace the tips on my Epic and outfit these. I did have my partner try out the buds, since she has smaller than normal ear canal openings. She tried the small tips and found they worked great for her and didn’t cause any discomfort. Finding buds that fit her is really hit and miss (mostly miss), so this was a nice surprise.
I never had an issue with keeping the buds in place while moving around. I’ve ran and did yard work without any problems. The ear hooks provide good stability when using the touch controls on the bud.
Controls
After using the Epic for 3 years I am pretty accustomed to the control scheme that JLAB uses. They split the controls between the buds. Right ear: 1 touch for volume up, 2 to play/pause, and press and hold to skip track. Left ear: 1 touch for volume down, 2 for Google/Siri, and press and hold to skip back a track. There are controls that work on either ear as well: 1 touch to answer a call, 2 taps to hang up, press and hold to reject a call, and 3 taps to change the EQ setting. You are able to use one bud at a time, but this causes trouble with the split controls – you lose access to the controls held by the unused bud.
In practice these controls work OK. There is some touch registration issues for the multi-tap actions, but its not overt.
Sound
Sound out of the buds is not too bad, but is lacking in the higher end. It makes them sound a little flat if you pick the Bass Boost or Balanced EQ’s. The Signature EQ sounds the best out of the 3, so I would recommend just sticking with that EQ. The Signature sounds the brightest and has just as much punchy bass as the Bass Boost EQ. The buds don’t have a ton of power for bass, getting a good seal is important. The medium tips give me a decent seal, so I can hear some more of the bass. However, they don’t do a great job of isolating outside noise (like my lawnmower). These are the reasons I’m going to order the foam tips – they provide a better seal and noise isolation than the rubber tips.
Calls worked out well as long as my environment was quiet. My voice was picked up clearly and I could easily hear the other person. However, background noise, and especially wind noise gets picked up. This is pretty common complaint for any ear bud setup that I have tried, so this wasn’t surprising at all.
Overall
I think these are pretty solid set of earbuds for the price. They sound good enough, have a solid battery life, excellent range, and a robust carrying case. I don’t expect them to blow me away, but just be competent and functional, which they are. I like the bright yellow color scheme, so it will be difficult to lose these in the gym bag. If you want to snag an extra set of buds to keep as a spare, these fit the price/performance range for a solid backup set. I’ll honestly use my Epic’s until they die/break and then either pick up another pair or I would switch over to these full time.

Purchased Jan 19, 2024 and they worked well until May 29 when the left earbud stopped working. Purchased from Best Buy but they only have a 60 day return policy according to their return policy. I wasn’t looking to return but to exchange for another set. I have proof of purchase and feel I should be allowed to exchange them considering I only purchased them less than 5 months ago and I’ve taken good care of them.

I recently picked these up because I wanted something that I could use securely while working outside or doing things that I needed full range of motion with no risk of falling out. I have a descent set of jvc's like this, but they were about double the cost and I feel if these get dirty/clogged and can't be cleaned anymore, I could get a different set and not break the bank. Value wise, these are good. Fit comfortably, built sturdy, stay secure, and look reasonably good. Features are above what you would expect. 3 preset sound mixes, the jlab setting I feel sounds the best, but depending what music you listen to, there is a bass boost one also. The touch controls are not as responsive as I'd like, but they work, more issues with the right one when I try to skip tracks vs volume up (1 second hold tap vs 1 quick tap), I end up with blasting headphones stuck on the same track. The volume can get up there on these. Another small negative is these charge by a tiny usb cord attached to the case. Not a big deal but awkward finding spot if I'm not at home to plug this in. At home I do it on computer or charging hub that has a table under it, but in my car it would dangle from the dash if I had to charge them traveling unless I carry a USB extender. It would have been nice to just do usb c or micro USB that I have tons of cables on the car already for other things. Either way, these small flaws do not detract from my 5 star review on them, they check all the boxes for wireless headphones at this price point and a bit more I feel. The are solid built, secure to my ears, and I hope to use them often. I do reccomend these to friends and family.
