Affordable Comfort and Sound
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The JLab are really good budget headphones that deliver performance and quality, and this Go Lux ANC falls in that category. They are nicely built, light weight, comfortable with a modern minimal design. Like most headphones the majority of the structure is made of plastic, with some rubber, leather like material for the ear pads and soft fabric for the head band. One thing that stood out to me was how smooth the entire texture felt including the ear pads. Unlike traditional over-ear headphones, these have flat, round ear pads that rest directly on your ears rather than enclosing them. I was surprised by how well they handled external noise even without the large ear cups, they still managed to dampen outside sounds effectively. With Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) turned on, the noise isolation improved further and came close to that of more premium models. The ear cups also swivel and fold in for convenient storage and travel. Setting them up was extremely easy. If you're using an Android OS the headphones will appear automatically on the main screen and will request to be paired, that's it! To use the advanced features you have to download the JLab app. Though it has minimalist design it does have physical control buttons. They are all located on the right ear cup. It has a volume rocker and two buttons. One is the power button that can be customized with the app and the other one controls the ANC and sound modes. In terms of sound quality they sound really good. Don't expect high fidelity as these are more on the budget side but they are more than sufficient for everyday use. The ANC works surprisingly well, even with the flat ear pad design. On the downside, when it comes to low frequency (bass), it is ok. Thankfully with the app you can make some adjustments and it will improve but still falls short of my expectation. Sound quality for phone calls was exactly what I expected: a good loud voice clarity. On the other end people were able to hear me clearly and loud as well. The JLab Go Lux ANC are excellent headphones for their price point. They’re a great fit for casual listeners who want a stylish, easy to use pair of headphones with good sound and comfortability. With up to 70 hours of playback, you won’t be reaching for the charger anytime soon. Inside the box, you’ll find the headphones, a USB-C charging cable, and a quick start guide.

Lightweight, comfortable, reasonably priced
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The JLAB Go Lux are a comfortable, lightweight, great quality headphones for a reasonable price. Package was nice and the headphones themselves have nice curves and contours while finished in a smooth matte texture that give an overall great feel. The top head foam padding is cushy and comfortable atop your head. Cut my grass with them and had no issues with slippage or feel the entire time, the Ear cushions are also quite soft and had no discomfort the entire time. I like the little extra touches as well, such as the perforated L and R into the ear cups to see Left and Right easier than most headphones that only have a tiny embossed L or R that's hard to read Pairing was very easy, turned them on and my phone had a popup immediately asking to pair. Afterwards, installed the JLAB app for additional customization and features. Its pretty cool being able to chose different ambient noises, or toggling on and off different features for the Audio button (i removed passthrough sound to only have it toggle between ANC and Off). The app is very easy to use and pretty clean. Battery lasts a long time, especially if you don't use the ANC feature, though you'll likely want to most times unless you're actually moving about for safety reasons. Tested with my kids and they are amazed with how quiet it gets when you toggle it on and off. These will be great, especially on long flights I did ding 1 star because it would have been nice to have a case included, but i guess you can't complain at this price point. I picked up a generic 3rd party case that is a perfect fit. Also it would have been good to have an Aux jack for when BT isn't an option.

Great Headphones
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.JLab is really coming into their own. Over the years, I've used quite a few Jlab products. To be honest, they haven't always been on the top of their game and have put out some serious duds. This company has been known for it's decent quality at an affordable rate. These Go LUX ANC wireless on ear headphones have really surprised me. They sound great to myself and the people to whome I've spoken with. Everyone that I've spoken to says that the sound was crisp, and without distortion. Listening to music is another issue that I find very important. There is a mode in which I'm able to reciieve great sounding tunes as well as getting really good audio while watching movies on my tablet. It also connects too my PC effortlessly. The cooll part is having the abilty to connect to two devices at the same time. My phone, plus my computer or tablet. The cloud foam is really comfortable, but on warm days, it will definitely cause sweaty ears. So I don't recommend using these while working out as I'm very sure that it would quickly ruin the ear cups. Then here's the charging cable. The type C to C charging cable is a meager 8 inches an there's no brick, which is more common than not. Using the app can help with your listening pleasure and the headphones come fully charged out of the box. And I have n't had to charge them in the four days that I've used them, so that makes me confident tthat they do, indeed, last up to 70 hours per charge. The mode button is easy to use to change between ambient, movie and music modes, easily. Nott bad JLab. Not bad at all.

Labshare, clean, hybrid ANC and great sound in one
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have work headphones from JLAB, I also have the earbuds and now the headphones and each one has a different purpose. The Go Lux ANC on ear headphones is compact and easy to travel with. The headphones look clean, simple and great. And when it comes to sound, they deliver great sound while listening to music. The hybrid ANC lets me focus on what I am doing while being aware of my surroundings. And the sound can be customized easily from the JLab application. I also like that I can connect my headphones to my phone and my laptop so I can switch back and forth when I need to. When it comes to battery, when they are charging the light is red and when they are fully charged the light turns off. The life of the battery is amazing up to 70 hours of playtime it is more than enough for me. And making phone calls has been a good experience, the people I’ve called with them did not know I was using the headphones so for me that is the best sign that they work great. A big plus is the Labshare, with another pair of headphones the first device sends the audio to the second one and both will play the same music from one device, that is correct, finally one device sharing to two different headsets so two people listen to the same music. So in short, these are amazing headphones, they not only look great, they sound great, I can make phone calls or listen to video calls, music, multitask and best of all the battery lasts much longer than I need it to be. Lastly they are comfortable to wear for long periods of time with its great cushion.

Affordable ANC and Decent Music Headphones
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Affordable Noise Cancelling and Decent Music Headphones I was pleasantly surprised by the noise-cancelling and music quality of the JLAB Golux ANC Wireless On-ear headphones. The headphones are fully charged and ready to pair straight out of the box. The quality of the construction is durable plastic, metal, a foam headband, and foam earcups. The left and right earcups are clearly marked on the face of the pads. The cups fold up nicely for easy storage. The components are attached via metal screws, which implies ease of repairs if needed. The volume, power, and mode buttons are in easy reach on the base of the right earcup. When powered on, the headphones are instantly ready for pairing via Bluetooth. A voice announces, “Jlab on, Bluetooth connected, battery full.” I paired with my tablet and desktop computer at the same time. It's a nice feature to be able to listen to music from my tablet while hearing sound effects from my computer. The sound quality is impressively decent. I appreciate that the bass is not overpowering but substantial. Vocals and highs are clear and crisp through all of the EQ settings I tested. The ANC mode settings are On, Off, Be Aware, Music Mode, and Movie Mode. The hybrid noise-cancelling does a good job of taking out the ambient background noise. Fan noise and background hum disappear. Voices and conversation volume levels are reduced but still noticeable. For the reasonable pricing of the headphones, the ANC is pretty good. I couldn’t tell the difference between Music Mode and Movie Mode, which allows slightly reduced hearing of nearby talking. The Be Aware Mode enhances background noises, which is good for listening for traffic while driving or bike riding. The Cloud Foam earcups and headband were comfortable for several hours at a time. After a straight four hours, I was ready to take them off. Overall, I am happy with the JLAB Golux ANC Wireless On-ear headphones and will recommend them to anyone looking for an affordable pair with decent sound quality. My only minor gripes are the lack of a carrying case, the very tiny length of the included USB-C cable, and the power staying on when folding up the headphones.

So Easy To Set Up, Sync and Use- Comfortable
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have the JLAB GOLUX ANC Wireless on Ear Headphones. The runtime is advertised for 70+ hour playtime. I can not verify that but I do know I only recharge them Sunday, Wednesday and Friday. So the playtime is really up there. I use my headphones nearly constantly when I am awake. I even listen to books on tape as I lay down to sleep. The first thing I did was scanned the QR code in the package. Followed that to the link to download the JLAB APP. Then I just chose my device. It was so easy to set up. I just turned it on set it pair with my iPhone and BAM it was done. I do like the feel of the feel of the headphones on my head and my ears. I wear glasses so it can be difficult to find headphones that do not hurt my ears. I have not been able to share my music with anyone else using these headphones because I only have one but it says you can connect two headsets to the same device. That would be so cool and I am looking forward to trying that. The headphones do not move off my head when I dance. Yes I like to dance while I do laundry, cook or clean. These headphones are PERFECT. I like the controls are all on the right ear. I had a problem with my calls disconnecting until I got used to how to use the buttons. Now my calls come through loud and clear. The APP has more controls to set up the headphones just the way I like them. I love music and I like it my way. I have added a photo of the APP controls. The only thing that I do not like is the length of the charging cable. It is so short. Which makes it hard for me to charge in the places I usually charge my devices. These fit on my ear and do not block out other sounds but it does lower them. I like that because I can still hear the door bell.

Great Sound but they Hurt My Ear
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As with most things, I have certain expectations of a product based on price point. This is why JLAB’s Go Lux ANC On-Ear Headphones surprised me. They have decent noise cancelation and sound quality at a great budget price. *Quality of Construction* These headphones feel well made, they are comprised of sturdy, soft plastic that feels like it can last. The cushion on top unremarkable, it is made of mesh covered foam and slips around my head quite easily but does help with comfort. The ear cups are no good for me. They are made of what feel like a super soft cushion but are so thin that they flatten completely when wearing that my ears just end up against hard plastic. The right side pushes my ear up against the leg of my glasses and it gets painful after even half an hour of wearing them. I am also not a fan of the design of the way the cup just covers the whole ear in plastic. Moving on, the headphones do not extend too far, for those with larger heads or tall hair, this might not fit well. They fold up easily, the hinges are smooth and there is no risk of catching my fingers (an issue I have faced with other hinges as a clumsy person). The ear cups additionally rotate in, which results in a compact, easy-to-travel with headset. The right cup comes with two buttons and a volume/skip button. They are intuitively placed and have a nice smooth rubber coating. *Sound Quality* The sound quality was surprisingly good. It has smooth bass, nice mids, and decent treble. I played a variety of genres, and these did justice to all of the songs. The ANC also works quite well. Just the design of the ear cups alone helps block out sound, but the ANC did pretty well at almost, although not completely, blocking out outside noise. The surroundings aware mode works okay since it relies on the mic, which is not the best (more on that below). Based on the fact that these are budget friendly, I was quite impressed by both the sound and ANC quality. *App* The JLab app pairs with these headphones really quickly. The app allows the headphones to be remotely controlled on all of the functions plus features equalizer and button controls customization among other things. *Mic/Phone* The mic on these headphones is not great. I tested them with both voice record and answered a call with them. My voice recording sounded very muffled, and the volume fluctuated. The person I spoke to on the phone with stated I sounded like I was underwater. *Battery* The battery life on these headphones is 70 hours. They came with full charge, and I don’t think I will be charging them for a few weeks at this rate. *Conclusion* Okay, so these headphones are an amazing budget-friendly option that truly surprised me. The sound is great, the headphones are well-built, and they are compact. My biggest problem with them is the ear pain. It is hard for me to use them for a prolonged period because of this. If you need good headphones but are on a budget and don’t use glasses constantly, I recommend these.

Affordable active noise cancellation
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I personally own probably way too many headphones, including a few pairs of AirPods (including the AriPod Pro 2’s), some Beats Fit Pro, Sony’s WH-1000XM5’s (as well as an older version from 2018), and a few cheaper pairs by Anker’s Soundcore brand. All that said, I know what good and cheap headphones alike offer, and what you should expect in terms of sound quality based on the amount of money you’re shelling out. These JLAB Go Lux active noise cancelling (ANC) headphones offer a decent amount of value for what they provide, with some caveats. Pro’s: - The build quality is great, though made up mostly plastic. There’s some steel supporting the adjustable ear-cups when you pull them down towards your ears. The headband is well padded, as are the ear-pads. The mainly plastic build means these things are very lightweight, which could be a huge plus for some. - The buttons for power, volume, and noise cancellation on/off toggle are all very large and each is fairly discernible from the other. - Battery life has been exceptional in the time I’ve been testing this set of cans out. Supposedly they get up to 70+ hours of playback time, and based on my usage they might be spot on. I haven’t had to worry about the battery on these at all. - Each ear-pad largely displays L or R as an easy identifier for orienting the headphones on your cabeza (that’s Spanish for head amigos). - The noise cancellation is great given the cost of these headphones (at approx. $50). Cons: - The sound quality is decent, but definitely on compares closer to those of other cheap headphones. I found that everything sounded a bit flat all around. A few songs I’d listened to that feature prominent lead instrumentation sounded as though the lead instruments were buried in the middle of the mix and almost indiscernible. - If you have a bigger head like I do, these might not be the most comfy headphones to wear for long periods of time. I’ve been getting fatigued from these cans after only about half an hour of use each time. They certainly aren’t the worst, given the nicely padded headband and ear-pads, but it’s noticeable. - While the headphones do fold up into a more compact form factor, it doesn’t seem as elegant as other more expensive headphones. And the fact that these don’t come with a carrying case makes it a more curious feature. Sure you can fold them up, but are they any more protected when throwing them in your bag then not folding them up? Other Mis. Notes: - The spatial audio feature sounds more like a wider stereo feature. It does make the mix sound wider than it does without it turned on, but it’s nowhere near the spatial audio features you get with more costly headphones. - While the noise cancellation is great given the price point of these headphones, it doesn’t stack up to more expensive competitors. You’ll still be able to hear an occasional cough or sneeze from someone nearby. And if you plan on using these in a noisier environment than an office or at home, they may not be the best option for you. Overall, for $50 these are a decent set of headphones that offer a good mix of features and are well built. However, given that the marketplace for noise cancelling headphones is packed with competition, I’d say do some research on what’s going to work best for you.

Simple, long battery, ANC
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had a fair bit of JLAB headphones over the years and one thing is for sure is that JLAB is about trying to give you the best on a budget. Sure, they are not the audiophile quality sound that you might find in something else that is much more pricey, but they do exactly what you want them to do. Play music on the go and not break the pocket. The battery life on these is one thing that is astounding. You can get nearly 3 days of straight use, pending things like using ANC though. But, still days worth of charge. It’s a good thing though, because the USB-C charging cable that these come with has got to be one of the shortest cables I’ve ever used. Good thing practically everything is using USB-C now, so easy enough to use a different one. Like several of their other headphones, these come with active noise cancellation and the be aware mode, which helps amplify sounds around you so that you might hear that bell or horn as a bicycle is trying to pass you on the trail. Meanwhile, with the ANC on you can zone out and barely hear anything around you. They changed the button to be down below the headphones instead of the whole side JLAB logo like many of their others do. But, it still functions the same. On the subject of buttons, there are defaults that the do like 1 tap play/play pause, 2 tap for phone assistant, but you can also change these to your preference with the Jalb app on your Bluetooth connected device. The app also allows you to customize the sound with an EQ use one of the defaults. It also allows settings for options to limit the highest volume settings and spatial audio. Comfort on these is decent. They are fairly light and on the ear. They manage to keep a pretty decent seal over the ear without adding too much pressure, which adds to the noise cancellation. The material is faux leather, so it makes it easy to wipe away the sweat that these summer days are sure to cause. It is using Bluetooth 5.4, but I do notice a slight delay when watching videos. It’s not too bad, but is noticeable at times. These also have the option to share your audio with other Labshare devices, but I have not personally tried this option. I did try the Bluetooth multipoint option though and this is nice if you want to listen to say your PC and your phone without needing to constantly swap between them. You can be connected to both at the same time, however, you can only listen to one device at a time as they will basically fight for dominance if you try to play audio from both. Overall, for budget range headphones, these are pretty amazing. Decent audio, better once modified to your preference with the app, super long battery life, active noise cancellation and capable of being connected to two Bluetooth devices for smooth transfer between them.

Get Immersive with JLAB GoLUX
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.JLAB GoLUX ANC Wireless headphones frankly surprised me. These are very affordable and great for travel wireless headphones. Our family goes on car trips a few times a month and with teens in the backseat I thought I would let one of them use these and also share with me what they thought. I have also used these extensively for work and pleasure. I enjoy taking long walks and one thing I care about is the comfort level of my headphones. Let me tell you the head band and the ear cups felt great! My teenage son also mentioned that his ears usually cannot stand over the ear headphones but these JLAB GoLUX ANC Wireless headphones felt just right. Another pleasant feature is fast pairing between phones and if you run Android OS, Google makes it pretty easy to get connected. I would highly recommend getting the JLAB app for your headphones, as you will get plenty of extra options to customize your experience even more. With 40 mm drivers in these headphones the sound quality was amazingly clean and crisp, the bass was punchy too. There is also Spatial Audio feature available and if you have not experienced it, give it a try, you will be pleasantly surprised. The tech specs are also up to date: you get the latest Bluetooth profile (5.4), ANC (Noise Cancellation) works as advertised and the battery runtime rocks. I used these for a prolonged time (about 5 hrs) doing some painting outside and battery never "complained" to get charged. You get a nice USB-C cable to bring some juice into these as well. I am pretty pleased with these headphones, its built and sound quality, no need to shell out hundreds of dollars on some fancy gear.

JLab Lux GO - Surprisingly Good!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When it comes to audio gear, there's a vast pool of manufacturers to pick from, with some having established themselves as leaders and then there are some that should probably not make audio devices. JLab has been around for a long time and they have positioned themselves amongst the top with their devices. Having a couple of JLab earbuds and headphones, and needing something to listen to TV and online videos, I gave the Lux GO wireless headset a... uh... go. Before I dive into the details, there is one thing I have to flat out say: folding headphones are usually junk. I have had a slew of different headphones that folded to "save space". All I got were broken hinges. So when I saw the folding hinges on the Lux GO, I rolled my eyes, hard. But as it turns out, it's more solid than I thought. After folding several times and unfolding again, I wasn't able to find anything loose or too wobbly, which is usually a good sign. The quality of these headphones is actually really nice, they feel sturdy and the plastic doesn't look cheap. Before use, I let the headphones fully charge (with a measly 6" USB-C cable that was included). Charging didn't take long and I was ready to connect. And this is where these headphones shine. Pairing was a breeze. Every device in range with a bluetooth connection was ready to connect to the Lux Go (even my laptop suddenly popped up with a connection window). I have to admit that I loved that. It's usually such a pain to get things to pair and keep them paired, that this really impressed me. Once paired, you're good to go. And if you have more than one thing to listen to, say, an endless meeting, you can add another connection to play music or listen to a podcast. Very cool, very useful. These headphones feature a limited amount of buttons which I also appreciate. There's nothing worse than having to play "Simon" on your headphones to find the mute button or to adjust the volume. Now, one of these buttons is what really sold the Lux GO for me: Noise canceling. I know, I know... some people like it, others hate it. But the Lux GO has a single button which allows to switch from "no noise canceling" to "music and media" and the last tap of the button activates the Active/Adaptative Noise Cancellation (ANC). The ANC works great. It doesn't fully cancel out sounds, but it does dampen them a lot without distorting the sound from the headphones. There is also a volume rocker and a microphone built in. The only other thing is the power button and a Type-C connector. So how do these headphones sound? Actually, they sound really good. For the price, I was shocked that the Lux GO could deliver a solid sound, which lacks a bit of bass, but everything else put aside, it's good. I have used the JLab App on my phone, even if it doesn't really add to anything since most of the operations can be done from the headphones' physical buttons. Voice is crisp and clear, no muffled sound, not the best microphone, but it does get the job done. All in all, these headphones are a worthy investment if you're a bit cash strapped or if you just want something for everyday use. They are also very light, which makes them very comfortable to use over a long period of time. My verdict is simple: buy them. They're worth it, especially in this price range. Recommended.

Good value for money, nice headphones!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In headphones of this price point, one would expect the most basic in all aspects, however these JLAB Go Lux ANC headphones offer more for their affordable price. In the box comes only the headphones and the USB-C charging cable. The connection is via Bluetooth only as it does not have a headphone jack connection. To take advantage of all the features provided by these headphones it is important to download the app as there are functions and settings that can be made in the app that undoubtedly improve the user experience. The product has a simple design but is intended for everyday use. The headband is adjustable and has a very comfortable mesh design that fits tightly to the head. Thick and soft earpads that allow extended use of the headphones without causing discomfort. On the right side is located the power button that in the app can be configured in different ways, play, pause, next or previous track, EQ, google/siri, etc… On the same side is the volume control as well as the USB-C connection to charge the battery, right there is located the ACN button. Regarding the active noise cancellation (ANC) it fulfills its purpose very well by isolating external noise or voices around, this considering the price of this product, although the transparency mode leaves a little to be desired. The audio quality is good whether listening to music, watching movies or listening to podcasts. The microphone quality is fine although it could be better, but it gets the job done without problem. As I mentioned above, these headphones are perfect for everyday use and even more so considering that the battery lasts a long time. In regular use playing music and/or multimedia content has an autonomy of more than 70 hrs and in calls over 40 hrs which surprises me and at the same time pleases me because personally I use my headphones a lot during the day, no doubt the battery is one of its main strengths. In summary these JLAB Go Lux ANC headphones have what you need and a little more for everyday use, they have a considerable autonomy, they are comfortable, sound good, and have an app that allows you to customize them to get more out of their features, and the best thing is the price, no doubt if you are looking for headphones with ANC at an affordable price, they are a great option, I definitely recommend them.

Great Value, Quality and Comfort
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.JLAB Go Lux ANC is by far the best over-the-ear headphones I have ever owned. When I first received the package, I thought it was a wrong product because the box looked way too small. The headphones are definitely compact but the design is so clever - it nestles very nicely when not in use, so it won't take up much space on your desk or inside a bag. It's also very lightweight, so it doesn't weigh heavily on your head or ears, which is a huge plus for any over-the-ear headphones. The muffs are very soft and comfortable and having the letters R and L embossed inside the corresponding muff is super helpful! Pairing to my phone was quick and easy. I won't be using its app, though - don't want another app like I l need a hole in my head, LOL. I have three little suggestions for JLAB: 1) The enclosed 5V USB-C (on both ends) charging cable is way too short. It looks much longer on Best Buy's website photo but it's only about 8" long. Luckily, I already have a compatible cable which is much longer with a regular USB on the other end (my preference), so I will be using that one instead. 2) The enclosed manual seems to show that the indicator would turn blue when it's fully charged but mine never did. Therefore, I couldn't tell whether the initial charging was complete even after a couple of hours (supposed to take 2.5 hours according to the specs) until I actually started using it. 3) ANC is not noticeable, which is not a dealbreaker for me but it may be for some people, so worth noting. Otherwise, JLAB Go Lux ANC is a great option at this price point for its quality and comfort. I highly recommend it!

Great headset... So far.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This JLabs headset has excellent sound quality and battery performance despite the smaller than average foot print for an over-the-ear headphone set compared to others in the market. The sound quality is pretty good even at max volume there is no sound distortion, though it has limitations on the base and lower frequency sounds but excellent with the high frequency and voice sounds. The pads covers are very soft and made lesther-like material which provides good sound isolation in noise canceling mode which is one of tjree modes. It only has three control buttons in the bottom of the right speaker and unfortunately no touch controls in either speaker. It has the longest lasting battery of any headset I have tried so far and it comes with a small USB-C charging cable in addition to the small operating manual. Design and build doesn't compete with high end head sets but the feel and look are very solid. Noise canceling is also four star because I can still hear outside conversations unless I increase the volume sound to around 25%. One feature operated by one of the buttons is the Spacial sound feature which is similar to surround sound and it really makes the sound better. The JLAB App has all the operating features in addition to ambient sounds for relaxing, sound volume limits to prevent hearing damage, sound equalizer with 3 presets plus one customizable to improve the sound quality of the headset. It deserves a serious consideration when looking for small foot print over the ear headphones.

Amazingly good sound for the price
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are on a tight budget and want an on-ear headphone that still sounds pretty darn good, the JLab GoLux ANC wireless headphone is hard to beat. It's compact, lightweight, foldable and comes in a variety of colors, and best of all, produces a very pleasing balanced sound, with deep bass and good midrange. It doesn't hurt that it also sells for very modest price. I have to admit I am not a big fan of the faux leather (plastic) "Cloud Foam ultimate comfort" ear cups, which I think become somewhat uncomfortable over the long haul. Because the ear-facing side is flat instead of cupped, as many earphones are, there is a solid sheet of plastic resting against your ear all the time. Maybe that works in very cool climates but gets sweaty and uncomfortable in a hurry in the hot humidity-soaked environment where I live. The constant pressure on the ears also wears on you over time. Still, I understand this is something that is highly subjective. I have seen other reviews where users rave about the comfort. Pick what works best for you. As you might expect at this price point, this JLab GoLux model is not exactly bristling with advanced features but it does cover all the basics very well. When paired with your phone, it doubles as a device for listening to music or videos as well as for receiving or making phone calls. These headphones work with JLab's surprisingly useful universal app, which allows for a lot of customization options in terms of sound shaping, noise cancelation modes, button function, firmware updates and the like. There are three different preset equalizer settings plus custom (the default JLab Signature setup sounds best to me) as well a "spatial sound" option (off by default) , that appears designed for watching surround sound movies, but also works well with music. It generates a more distinct stereo separation and a bit of a loudness boost. There are also two noise cancelation options (beyond off), including one that is somewhat muted so you can carry on conversations with headphones on and a second one to provide full noise cancelation. They both seem to work as advertised. One welcome design feature of the GoLux ANC is a collection of physical control buttons, which make operating the headphones a LOT easier than those with the more common touch controls. The two buttons and one rocker are used to powerup and pair the headphones, as well as control volume, pause and skip tracks and determine noise cancelation modes. Multiple taps are required for some of those functions, but they detailed in the app. Another feature some may find useful: JLab says you can pair the headphones to two devices at the same time, so you can monitor and take phone calls while also watching TV via Bluetooth. Battery life is rated at a spectacular 70+ hours but you better have your own USB C charger and USB C cable. This does not come with a charger and the provided cable is so short as to be useless (even though it also doubles as a wired connection to the device providing sound.) The only big downside to these headphones is they are not really designed to be worn while exercising. They will slide off in a heartbeat during any vigorous motion. So reserve them for periods of sedentary entertainment. Overall, the JLab GoLux ANC headphone is a pretty stellar performer given the modest price. It pumps out great sound, folds up for easy portability and provides some additional functionality in terms of sound-shaping and noise cancelation.

They work well.

The sound quality is outstanding—clear highs, rich mids, and deep bass that doesn’t overpower the rest of the music. Whether I’m listening to podcasts, watching movies, or enjoying my favorite playlists, everything comes through crisp and balanced. The comfort is another huge plus. The ear cushions are soft and breathable, so I can wear them for hours without any discomfort. The headband fits securely but not too tight, making them great for both at-home use and when I’m on the go.

Great performance for the price!

The sound great for the price point - I've used a set of phones for 4, 5 and 6x the price that didn't sound anywhere near as good! Battery life has already exceeded my expectations.

Great for on-ears
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am personally a big fan of JLab and their wide variety of earbuds and headphones. I own a lot of their product lines and have been following them for years. I will say that the only complaint I have about these is that they aren't very comfortable after a certain time, but that's mainly because my ears can be sensitive. If you don't mind the pressure that on-ears can incur then these are quite nice at a mere $50. Noise cancelling and great sound and great battery life all add up to something that is well worth the cost.
