I thought at first I was doing something wrong but after reading the manual well that's as high as it goes. I use these at work and the gym and yes you can hear the music but you can also hear all the noise around as well and makes it hard to focus on what I am hearing.

Technically, you can hear the sound using only the right one, but you will not be able to pause/play or to increase the volume while the left one is in the box. (You could do this in the older JBuds Air model) 2) When putting them back in the box, no indicator lights up, and you have no clue if they are charging or not (older and cheaper model immediately lit up when back in the box). 3) This is touch-sensitive model, the included manual is for the cheaper button-click model; 4) In this touch-sensitive model you have no clue whether you made a "click" or not. After 2 days of use, I was not able to turn them off using the "press and hold for 3+ seconds" instructions in the manual, they just don't respond to anything. I hope I can return them.

They kept fading in and out, not worth it. Pay the extra money for a better set.
