They stay in my ears and have multiple bud size to fit any ear. However I don't get the different modes of sound like bass boost, balance, or JLab special.

Great sound and comfort is good also. Not as comfy as Bose but next in line for me

My son doesn't have an apple product

Because of the following issues, however, i find myself still preferring the headphones (wireless too) instead of these earbuds-at least until they become too uncomfortable at which point i switch to these earbuds. In no particular order: soft bands around the top keep slipping; hard to get out of the case; frequently resume pairing in mono, not stereo; frequently have to mess with audio settings to get it right. i have none of these issues with my bluetooth headphones which are in the same price range.
