I run with them daily, they stay in the well, however hurt to have them in for longer than an hour.

We are very sorry to hear of the pairing issues, as well as the volume. The JBuds Air should be putting out a nice, clear, rich sound, with volume over 100 db. A proper seal is critical for max volume. If the back of the bud is not touching the back of your ear, you don't have a proper seal. The sound out on the left is caused close to 100% of the time, by placing the buds in the incorrect charging slots for even a split second. I have attached the best instructions to repair the two buds. 1. Remove the connection from your device
2. Turn both earbuds off
3. Press and hold the power button on your right earbuds for 10-15 seconds. You will see a series of indicator lights which will include a blue/white alternating lights. Continue holding the power button until you see only a fast blinking white light.
4. Repeat the same process with your left earbud.
5. Both earbuds will blink only white while they search for each other.
6. Once pairing together, the left ear will show a solid white light. The right light will start blinking blue/white indicating it is looking for a device to connect to.
7. On you device under your Bluetooth settings there should be a new connecting: JLab JBuds Air.

But don’t buy if you want to answer and make calls. Doesn’t pick up and person on other end can’t hear you do mic is useless

Also sometimes when i put them in the case, it turns them on and they connect to my phone (thus draining the battery).

Although I never used the battery up completely, it does appear to give you good battery life. Watched 2 two hour movies and the battery was still half-full.
