Very Disappointing
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been wearing a pair of Amazon Echo frames for about a year now and love the convenience of being able to listen to music without earphones but haven't been too happy with the style. When JLab came out with these I was really excited that I could add the capability to my other pair of regular glasses. Unfortunately these miss the mark for a couple reasons. First, I couldn't get them to stay securely on the frames. They come with rubber spacers that can be put on in different orientations for thinner or thicker frames. Despite using the side for the thinnest frames they were still not secure and kept popping off when I tried to put on my glasses or adjust them. Also, the tabs on the side to hold them onto the frames were incredibly uncomfortable on the sides of my head. I can't imagine wearing them for any period of time. The worst part, though, was how awkward I looked with them on. I popped them on and got them situated on my face and immediately my wife burst out laughing. Not exactly a rousing endorsement! Granted, I shave my head and maybe if I had hair they would blend in, but I looked like a mechanic wearing a pair of headlights. While they seem to be well built, they come with a proprietary charging cable. At this point there's really no excuse to use at least micro-USB or even better yet, USB C to charge anything. The cable is magnetic, which is nice, but it's also only a few inches long. Also in the box is a very large carrying pouch. It seems too big to carry in a pocket and is likely repurposed from another product. I will say pairing was very easy, and sound quality was on-par with the Echo Frames. I really wanted to like these, as I've had pretty good experiences with other jLab products, but these just aren't for me. If you have frames that are the right thickness and hair to hide them, they may be a better experience for you.

A useful niche product.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These Jlab frame speakers are a desirable adaptation of one piece speaker frame glasses. Owning a pair of popular brand sound sunglasses allows me to enjoy these units for what they bring to the table, portability and versatility. In the small niche, created by the popularity of VR headsets, audio frames have become an interesting substitute for in-ear buds. Mainly because they allow you to listen to your favorite tunes whilst having the ability to listen to everything around you. Fortunately, the advancements in directional sound piping make these mini speakers both effective and unobtrusive to nearby people. I like that I can clip these onto my eyeglasses or safety glasses and answer the phone at work while keeping my hands free. The bluetooth connection needed to be done twice because it would connect with one or the other, but not both. The sound is really weak unless you have the volume set at 80 -100% and the equalizer bass boost isn't very impressive, but I didn't expect it to be. I had some issues answering calls with the right button, though other button sequences work fine. These are sure to get more use than my sunglasses with built-in audio.

SURPRISING QUALITY!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm surprisingly pleased at how well the JBuds Frames Wireless Audio for Your Eye Glasses actually work. Small, compact, easily attached to any type of frames for my eyeglasses that I tried because I switch back and forth between 3 different pairs of eyeglasses. They look attractive, and because of the compact size, you don't feel a lot of weight hanging off the side of your eyeglass frames - which is what I was afraid of because I'm always fussing with my glasses due to being uncomfortable. The sound quality was excellent - again, because of where they are (i.e. on my frames) and not in my ears. The volume didn't seem to bother my husband sitting next to me. I'm glad, because I don't want to bother others with the type of music I'm listening to. They charge quickly via USB. A real nice product for the price, and I would highly recommend others to try them, because if you're like me, I really hate earbuds due to them being uncomfortable and always falling out of my ears!

Sticking With Wireless Earbuds
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really wanted to like these eyeglass frame clip-on Bluetooth speakers, but I found that they did not work well for me. The concept is interesting, but unfortunately fell short of my expectations. For most applications, a nice pair of wireless earbuds will work better. I tried them with four different pairs of sunglasses, but was able to achieve a solid attachment with only one pair. Glasses come in so many different configurations that I think it is very difficult to make a universal fit product of this type. Even using the included silicon adjustment sleeves, I was unable to achieve a solid lock on only one pair of glasses that I felt secure taking them on and off. I also did not feel that they were secure enough for most outdoor activities besides taking a walk. On the plus side, they do sound very good, especially since the sound is projected at your ear as opposed to directly radiating inside of the ear canal. Another benefit to this design is that you will hear more of what is going on around you, if that is a concern. This product may work better for other people and other glasses then it did for me. Especially if you get creative about locking them down to a specific pair of glasses, or maybe a bike helmet. But there are too many limitations here for me to recommend. I am sticking with traditional wireless earbuds.

A Great Concept..But
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I thought this was a great idea--a bluetooth headset that attaches to your glasses. I've tried the kind that twist into your ear, the kind that anchor around the back of your head, the kind that hold on to the back of your ear, so I though this would be great. Well, the idea is first-rate. But the execution of it left out the one thing that would matter most to me--the sound quality. These are about as tinny as they get. Sharp, clear, great for phone calls or podcasts--but really tinny for music. The manual gets it set up for you pretty easily. All the control functions are dependent on presses of the tiny button on each earpiece. Once you have it memorized which button on which side you press, it's pretty easy. I can see this set coming in handy for driving long distances where you want to have the phone and a podcast handy on your head. The little button is easy to find with them on your head since it sticks out about 1/8 of an inch. The mic was good for phone calls, the incoming audio pretty sharp and clear. The little rubber "boots" that you need to hold them more firmly in place with thin-frame glasses (aren't most glasses like that now?) fell out of the box all of a sudden so I was glad I didn't lose them (no spares!) If you lose them you are out of luck if your glasses don't have thick frames. If you take them off when they are playing music, you can tell that people around you will be able to hear what you're listening to. These may be good for people who spend a lot of time driving. The sound should be better.

Good Sound Has some issues though
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These have some definite pros and cons that I have found after using them for several weeks so far. The weight of them on your glasses takes some getting used to, but its fine once you are used to it. Sound is good and does what it claims to do, in providing headphone type sound without being speaker type sound. My biggest issue that I am still having and cannot seem to correct is with blue tooth connectivity. As they are two separate devices essentially, they connect individually. I have not really been able to get both sides to connect on BT at the same time. I have followed directions for troubleshooting. Seems like it would be easier. This issue makes them not my first choice when choosing which headphones I will use currently. I am hoping my reaching out to JLab will provide some help.

|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These fit on your glasses really well. I used them on both my sunglasses and regular glasses. Work Great, Use Your Favorite Glasses
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been considering some of the glasses with speakers built in to them, but was always worried they wouldn't be as comfortable as my current glasses. The JLAB True Wireless JBuds for Frames solves this by letting any pair of glasses become a pair of smart glasses. Everything works and sounds great, and it is wonderful knowing this will follow me to my next pair of glasses.

Try on before buying
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So the idea of JBuds is excellent --- earbuds that are not confined to the ear. I personally find it extremely difficult to find comfortable earbuds that stay put in my ears without irritating them as well. These are a relief in that for the most part, you don't need to worry about losing them. Here are the cons I found however: - they do NOT fit all frames -- even with the accompanying sleeve to help with this - the sound is decent, but definitely not the quality of other standard earbuds - the sound does bleed since it's not completely in your ear; others could somewhat hear what I'm listening to These should definitely be tried on before purchasing. They are better made for thinner frames for sure, so those with thicker frame glasses will want to pass this time. Otherwise, this is a quality, great and smart alternative to easy to lose, often cumbersome and uncomfortable earbuds!

Doesn't fit on any of my glasses
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The hooks are so narrow that it won't fit on any of my sunglasses . I have 4 different styles and none were compatible. So I can't tell you how they sound if I can't get them to properly fit on my sunglasses. I have flat frame ones, but apparently they are too thick. Obviously it won't fit my round frames. I would need very thin frames for these to work . Pairing was a little difficult you have to put both earbuds in pairing at the same exact time for the phone to pair both of them, otherwise only one earbud will work

An Awesome Concept!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I knew that wireless sunglasses were popular, but I thought it was an odd concept meaning listening to music via sunglasses. Jlab has enhanced this concept nicely as it is nice to add clips on your sunglasses and listen to music while in the grocery store, walking, driving, or whatever suits your fancy. I find these frames to be comfortable to wear and the sound produced from them is pretty decent. Also, it is nice to have the added feature to be able to accept phone calls while wearing sunglasses.

A great idea plagued by poor execution
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have quite a few pairs of prescription glasses and sunglasses. When I saw frames with built-in speakers and microphones they seemed like a great idea, except they all looked more like a Clark Kent Halloween costume than glasses someone would actually want to wear. So the idea of headsets that would attach directly to existing frames was very appealing. Having other JLab headsets that I like, I was optimistic that this would be a winner. My optimism was misplaced. Let’s start with attaching them to your existing frames. Logically, they clip on the temple pieces. Illogically, they don’t really seem to fit any frame style all that well. For thin temple pieces – wire rims, metal earpieces on acetate frames, etc. – they are far too large. For most of my men’s acetate temple pieces, they are too small, popping off at the slightest provocation. As far as style, well, if you thought the old Google Glass made you look like a dork, wait until you see these on. It’s a pocket protector for those times you don’t have a pocket. It really is difficult to put into words just how goofy they look. While lightweight, they are large, as tall as my Jabra Elite 65t earbuds but nearly three times as long. If you have long hair and can push these as far back on the frame as possible, then perhaps you don’t have to worry about the look. For the rest of us, it’s a difficult image to live with, as it takes your carefully selected, stylish frames, and makes them look like a prop for a bad sci-fi film. Ah, but what about the sound? Sigh. Again, I wish there was good news here. There’s no bass because there’s no seal around the ear. You need to turn the volume all the way up to get sound to your ears. There are three sound ports, one that curves around the back and points toward your ear, one that rather strangely points straight down toward your jaw, and one that inexplicably points outward, away from your head. So in addition to poor quality sound, anyone who happens to be standing beside you can hear your music or conversation at least as well as you can, and if they’re both beside you and a bit shorter than you, then they have the advantage of two sound ports to your one. And remember, they can hear it from a fair distance because you had to turn your phone all the way up to hear anything. And that leaves us with conversation quality and battery life. I’m sorry, but I didn’t get that far with these. Everything else was so completely unusable that I couldn’t see that conversations mattered, and I couldn’t imagine anyone wearing them for the claimed eight hour battery life. If you ever find yourself in some scripted TV contest where you have to spend $50 immediately to win and the commemorative coins of Guam 800 number is busy, then maybe you should grab these. It’s the only reason for buying them that I can think of.

This is a niche product that I can't find a use...
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I thought this product was something different entirely when I ordered it, and now that I understand it's function better, I fail to understand what or whom this device is for??? The "frame buds" attach to any number of glasses frames via a set of rubber inserts included for the clips of the device. These Seem lose-able and do not attach securely to the clips. They also need to be flipped the right direction based on what type of frames are being used. I tried these with my wireframe reading glasses and found no good/stable way to fit them on. Once I attached the device(s), I proceeded to pair them, which was standard for JLAB products, but then I encountered the real problem... These dont work through bone conduction or other non-ear closure audio devices - They just have little speakers on the backs aimed at your ears, and they play audio aloud, directed at your ears... ???!!!??? I've yet to see a use case where this is useful. They are thick, bulky, and made from hard shiny plastic. I couldn't find a way to tune the audio where it could be experienced quietly and privately, but still deliver decent audio quality without tinny highs and muddy mids (no lows at all). There is NO privacy when using these, and they will disrupt others around you. This is ENTIRELY defeating of the purpose of personal audio - Headphones, etc... I am at a loss. If a more compact version that uses bone conduction to deliver audio privately and personally is developed, this has a point. Just slapping small speakers onto a thick attachment to your glasses won't cut it here.

I really wanted to like these......but
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product sounds interesting in theory, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. These are kind of heavy and don't seem to fit really well on either thin framed eye glasses or thicker sunglasses. There are 4 little rubber sleeves to fit over the tabs on the frames, but they don't seem to help much on thin ear piece glasses. They are just an awkward fit and there is nothing to lock them in place, so they start moving on the ear piece sometimes. Sound quality isn't very good. You can't really get these super close to your ears, so the sound is thin with very little bass. There is more than one EQ mode, but it doesn't help much. You can use these as a single, not just as a pair. Problem is the controls on these use both of them. Example being volume up on the right and volume down on the left.

Posted .Hi there, we're sorry to hear this! Frames fit all glasses that have a temple width of 4mm or less. The open speaker design is different than a typical earbud and will not have the same sound experience. Please keep this in mind as they are not in-ear. -JLab

Great for glasses wearers/you don’t like earbuds
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was interested to see how I liked these. They were a no brainer to try for the price as I’ve looked at much pricier glasses with incorporated speakers but not interested in spending that much. The sound was great ... I’m not sure other reviewers understand that this is an speaker pointed at your ear vs a sealed in-ear option. You’ll have some sound leakage but it’s a different audio experience than headphones and I like it as a more natural, environment option. The frames are great for glasses wearers and people who just don’t like earbuds. They’re lightweight so I didn’t notice them at all. Definitely recommend these.
