Pretty bad sound quality

I have a pair of JVC Gummies wired earbuds that cost $10 and they sound almost 3 times better than these. I don't understand how this product is getting so many positive reviews. I returned them after 4 days.

Not the fault of product, but after using I can see the benefit to buds that could be used independently and weren't attached with a chord.
