Setup: Pairing was relatively easy. Don’t be confused by the first voice message telling you that the system is on. Keep pressing until you get the second voice message telling you that the unit is ready to pair. Pairing mode can only be enabled when the earphones are off. If you turn them on without getting to the pairing mode, turn them off (by holding the center button down for 3 seconds) and try again (holding the center button continuously until the indicator light flashes red & blue). There was no case or zippered pouch among the accessories in the package. You may need one to protect the earphones when not in use. A VERY short USB cable is included. The “paddles” can be cumbersome to install, but can help keep the phones in, especially while exercising. A good seal is essential to getting the best possible sound quality. Be sure to find a tip that works for you. There are two rings on the barrel of each earpiece that allow the tips to be positioned at the barrel end or near the body of the earpiece. You may want to try both positions to get the most comfortable and effective seal. The unit comes with a shirt clip. I found it neither useful nor necessary. In-line microphone & remote control: From what friends and colleagues tell me, the microphone works well. Since you are not tethered to your phone or computer with a cable, they are great for teleconferences. The in-line remote control works with iOS and Android apps. The center button is play/pause (short press). The up/down buttons work for volume (short press) and forward/back track selection (long press). The remote also work with phone calls (a short press on the center button will answer an incoming call). Sound Quality: These are not audiophile quality in-ear-monitors (IEMs). The bass is forward, the trebles are OK, and the middle frequencies suffer a bit. Equalization helps considerably. Microphonics are minimized by the soft cable. These will not replace my $400 IEMs, but for the price they are a solid on-the-go, Bluetooth performer with all genres tested (rock, jazz, classical, & pop). J Labs offers a “burn-in” app if you believe in such stuff. The JBuds sound OK out of the box. Battery: The downfall of any small Bluetooth device, battery life. The battery came “fully charged”. Voice messages at startup let you know the battery status, “Fully Charged”, “Medium”, and “Low”. It took about 2 hours of use before getting to medium and another 4 hours between medium and shutdown. Charging from fully drained (using USB3 port on my computer) took 1.5 hours. Tough to judge the sound when the right phone kept dropping out of my ear, no matter which combination of earpieces and fins used. Never again will I buy an earbud for exercise. Must have a hook or a fin that really works.

I was disappointed with the sound quality. Virtually no bass at all. I ended up returning then for a refund.

This product is lightweight and easy to lose since there is no attachment. I purchased a second one and lost the second one because I know sound system would work great but lost the second one as well. Will not be purchasing again.

Worst wireless headphones ever. They stopped working after 5 charging cycles. It's better to buy something by paying 20$ extra. There was a ton of static while in use. I hope this helps you in saving your money.

The Jlab Jbuds Pro is pretty much a no frills in-ear headphone for those who are budget conscious. The package contains the earbuds wth three gel cushion tips, two sizes of ear fins, a cable clip, a micro usb charging cable, and a basic set of instructions. My ear buds arrived fully charged. Battery life is announced every time the ear buds are powered on. All controls are managed by a bulky in-line controller which has the microphone, a center button for powering on/off and bluetooth pairing, and standard up/down buttons to adjust volumes and change music tracks. One good quality about these ear buds is that it is very comfortable. The gel cushion tips fit well within my ear canal forming a good seal, however it is not designed to block out ambient noise. Sound quality is decent. Voices have good clarity. However, when playing music, it becomes evident that the headphones lacks depth and detail. Overall, the audio has good balance with slight emphasis on the middle frequencies. Bass is present, but is a bit lacking and will not appeal to those seeking low frequency punchiness. The microphone is okay, but tended to pick up a lot of background noise. People on the other end of a phone call may have difficulty hearing your voice if you are in a noisy outdoor environment. To have the person on the other line hear you clearly, you'll need to have the microphone pretty much right next to your mouth, otherwise your voice will sound distant. The specs state that the battery lasts for 6 hours of play back. I got around that much in my testing. Another thing to note is that these headphones also suffer from the characteristic bluetooth hiss that can be heard at low volumes. Would I recommend these headphones? Yes. They offer “good enough” audio quality for this price point...in other words good value. The Jbuds Pro wireless earbuds cannot compete with the flagship bluetooth in-ear earbuds from the premium manufacturers, but they were never designed with that purpose in mind. The Jbuds Pro are designed for the average budget conscious consumer who is willing to make some compromises in audio quality for a basic set of wireless earbuds and wouldn't get too upset if they were lost because of the reasonably low purchase price.

JLAB® - JBuds Pro Wireless In-Ear Headphones These are a little different “collar” style earbuds, with the controls and battery in-line on the left side of the cord instead of in holder pods on each side like I am used to with other popular designs. Anything different takes a little getting used to, and once I got used to the controls it was OK. There is a little clip included to pin to your shirt or collar, but haven’t really needed that to get the headset to stay put. For more active use, like during a workout, the clip will be needed. The weight of the in-line control pod will pull the bud out of your right ear if you are really moving around, so the clip would help keep everything in place. If you are really moving around a lot, there are the “Cush Fins” that help hold the buds in your ears – they are easy to pop on and pop off when needed. I had to get used to the “extra weight” on the side with the in-line controls, and some users may find that to be a problem if working out or really moving around vigorously. Pairing is easy, but when going from one device to another I have to turn the headset off and then restart to get the connection. This headset “remembers” the last device it was pared with and will automatically connect to that device, but when going from one device to another (like from phone to computer) you have to turn off the headset and turn it back on to connect to the different device. Battery life is a few hours less than I get on “collar type” headset, probably because of a smaller sized battery due to the in-line controls design. No problems with 6-8 hours of listening, but not much longer than that. I don’t set my volume particularly high, which may help the battery last a bit longer than other reviews I have read. Charging is fast and only takes about an hour to get back to full charge. Sound is good, and is the best I have gotten from several headsets that are in the $20 - $60 price range – including well-known collar-style earbuds that are twice the price. The JLAB earbuds are a good value. A more robust sound may also explain why the battery life is shorter than other (larger) collar-style earbuds – there may be some “boosting” that draws the battery a little faster. Phone calls are OK and about the same as my other headsets. People can hear me just fine and I can hear them no problems. For the price, this is a good set to use around the house, walking or jogging, or going out for the day. Don’t count on them lasting “forever” on one charge.

Very sound/voice quality. Does not hold a good charge. Was more of a frustration than anything.
