The best headphones I ever bought. Pretty good for the money. Balanced sound. I bought these JLAB Audio Studio on-ear headphones and so far I really like them. They are very easy to use, easy to pair and the sound quality is great. Also has great bluetooth range and the noise canceling is perfect.

JLAB Studio ANC wireless on ear headphones are great for listening and comfortable for long usage. The price point is good for most budgets and they look really good. I really have been liking the fit and comfort of these headphones while working from home, but also working outdoors in the yard and mowing the lawn. They are effective at being versatile headphones and stylish at the same time. The black look is upscale and simple at the same time. I really like that these headphones can fold inward and be great for mobility and traveling with them. Included in the package you get the headphones, a travel pouch, micro USB cable for charging, and a 3.5mm aux cable to USB. The headphones will offer up to 34 hours of listening time. They offer 40mm drivers so you get a good overall balanced sound quality. I liked the overall sound of the music I listened to and it sounded clear without being muffled. The built in microphone allows for clear communication while wearing and the bluetooth connected to my iPhone XR very quickly. Overall the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is good on these as well. Provides some blockage to the outside noise and still allows you to focus on the music and audio in your headphones. The material on the cups and headband is faux leather so hopefully that holds up over time. I really like the price, style, fit, and audio clarity on these headphones. Cost much less than the competitors and will be adequate for most folks. Simple to use buttons on the earcup allow for a short learning curve to understand the taps of the buttons.

The JLAB Studio ANC Wireless On-Ear Headphones deliver everything they promise. Whether it’s the sound, the comfort or the extended operating time, these are headphones that challenge the notion of “you get what you pay for.” There is NO need to apologize for the price ‘cause I can’t find any place JLAB has made a sacrifice. SETUP: Charge them with the included cable. You’ll need your own USB charger. These JLABs come in a bright blue package that includes a nice black carry bag, the USB charging cable, a direct connection headphone jack and the over-the-ear headphones. No one will confuse your cables for theirs; these are as blue as the package. You’re ready for some music. A very long listening session. The controls are very easy to find on the right ear cup, and there is sufficient finger feel so I could find the volume, ANC, and easily manage PHONE CALLS. Phone calls, by the way, were clear. The other party had no difficulty hearing me. PERFORMANCE: Way way above their price. I sat for a few hours trying these out on my favs playlist. I listen to all types of music. I had an extended session with John Legend, Emmylou Harris, Billie Eilish, CS&N, Sugar Ray, Amy Winehouse, Majid Jordan, the Weeknd, Foo Fighters, J. Cole, Cardi B, Beirut and others to soak up a range of voices, instruments and beats. I’m not a heavy bass head, but the JLABS had no problem delivering anything at I wanted to hear at any volume I tested. The sound was very natural. There was zero sibilance where you’d expect to hear it, on female voices. There is no unnatural heaviness on male voices. I did find that using the iPhone’s LOUDNESS EQ in the music settings got the JLab’s to my preferred tonal balance. The comfort was exceptional. I didn’t reach up to adjust the headphones for the longest time. They just don’t attract attention to themselves from a comfort perspective. This sitting-on-the-ear design seems to imply I’m sure to miss sound quality, or they’ll be fussy to get properly located, but nothing could be further from my reality. I’m not going to suggest you might bike or run or exercise with these, but normal activities are not awkward, at all. I would comment on battery stamina, but I got bored waiting for them to exhaust themselves. JLAB is suggesting 34+ hours but without specifying volume and ANC use. We’re likely to have different results, but it is a lengthy playtime. I did find the ANC effective. Whereas the best noise cancellation systems can suck out external sound so completely it’s distracting, the JLABS are at the next lower tier of effectiveness. But, they do reduce background droning of engines and voices, and that’s what I want most. SUMMARY: I’m going to forget how much these cost and simply enjoy them. I don’t know what special sauce JLAB has applied to these JLAB Studio ANC Wireless On-Ear Headphones, but it’s working just fine. I like light-weight headphones, the most natural sounds without coloration or undue emphasis, and the added noise reduction of premium headphones. I guess that makes these a premium headphone for many of us. I like’em a lot.

As I have mentioned in some other JLab reviews, they make some surprisingly good audio products for the price. The Studio ANC wireless on-ear headphones fit that bill just the same. As a wireless pair of headphones, they are pretty decent. Sound quality has a good range to i, they are light and comfortable. As a pair of active noise canceling headphones they drown out continuous sounds pretty good, even on a lawnmower. But, I was a little disappointed in the combination of listening to music while the noise canceling is enabled. To me, it sounded like all the bass was removed while listening to music and then enabling the ANC. I felt the same way when I was using the Studio Pro ANC over-ear model of these headphones. However, the Pro version has 3 EQ settings that can be toggled that seemed to really help mitigate that with a bass boost. I also personally felt that the over ear model helped isolate sound better with and without ANC on. Of course, the versions are differently priced to make up for the added features and after having the chance to use both, I feel it was worth it for the Studio Pro ANC headphones. I also felt it was odd that micro-USB is used for this pair while USB-C is becoming more popular and universal. At least it comes with a charging cable and a USB-3.5mm cable for those that still need wired. This can also still be used with noise canceling when wired. Battery life is pretty amazing on this headset as well, but if they die, you can still use them wired till you get a time to charge them. It claims 35 hours with just audio, 28 with audio + ANC, but I haven’t ran it straight long enough to test that time and they last well over a day easily. Overall, these are good headphones and would probably say 4.5 stars, but I can’t put a half star on this site, so I am going with 4 due to loss of sound quality in ANC mode and the use of micro-USB.

SUMMARY -------------- Budget On-Ear ANC Headphones which punches above its weight. Note that this is an on-ear headphones with ANC so the passive noise cancelling wont be as effective as the on-ear headphones. I thought the ANC works better than some of the in-ear headphones. For the price, it’s a good buy. What's in the Box ------------------------- Studio ANC Wireless Headphones, Micro USB Charging Cable, 3.5mm AUX-IN Cable, Travel Bag, JLab Two Year Warranty. Pros ----- 1. Low price and good value 2. ANC included 3. Good build quality Cons ------- 1. Micro USB charging Design, Build and Setup ------------------------------- Make sure to charge it to 100% through the micro usb charger before using it for better battery life of the product. Once you pair with Bluetooth which is quick, the net time connect on quick without any delays. Build quality is on par with headphones this price and it can hold up for a few abuses. The controls are easy and turning off ANC, volume up and down etc are well positioned. Usage --------- The headphone sound quality is very good, very balanced sound, no over powering bass and it has clear highs. The ANC was able to null out my fan noise and I think that is a good achievement. I am yet to take it to a flight. The 2 mics for ANC control works pretty good. I was also able to use it on my zoom calls and the mic worked pretty good, the other parties had no complaints. The range is claimed 30 feet and I was able to stay in another room and be able to be still connected. Good range. Overall battery life is claimed to be 34 hours, I was able to get about 30 hours, good deal. Overall for the price a great product.

These headphones are really great quality for the price of them. The sound cancelling technology is great! It feels like your ears are inside of a vacuum and you don't hear any background noise while you have them on. The battery lasts so long too! I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of days in between charges that I get. That's the main reason I usually avoid wireless headphones - because I really hate having to remember to charge them before using. But these last so long that I really don't even mind. The bluetooth range is very far too. I can be listening to my phone or laptop from an entirely different room without any static or dropping out of sound. Unfortunately, the mic doesn't pick up my voice enough to use for my job. That is a bit disappointing because I bought these specifically for work. But they're so comfortable! So I still love them! Loud, comfortable, long lasting, clear, long range. Great headphones for a really great price!!

Subpar ANC w/surprisingly poor sound quality

This is a hard review to write because we're normally big fans of JLab. We have their Studio Wireless on-ears, the Air True Wireless Earbuds, some Air ANC Wireless Earbuds, and several JLab headphones for kids lying around for workouts, casual listening, and travel. All had proven to be surprisingly good performers, especially for the price, until we tried out their new Studio Pro ANC Over-Ear headphones...although they offered admittedly effective ANC, we found them to sacrifice JLab's typical outstanding sound quality while introducing a few strange usability issues. But we gave JLab's new ANC lineup another shot--our hope was that the similarity between these headphones, and the almost-the-same-in every-way Studio Wireless On-Ears, wouldn't leave us disappointed again. Sadly, that was not the case. BOTTOM LINE: if you care even the SLIGHTEST about sound quality, save your money and get the much cheaper/better-sounding Studio Wireless On-Ear headset from JLab; the design is virtually identical to this ANC model, but the sound quality of the cheaper headset is MILES beyond what you get here, while the loss of the substandard ANC is honestly something I doubt anyone will sorely miss. Only tepidly recommended as a backup-to-your-backup-to-your-backup if you just want to deaden a bit of the din around you; or to throw to one of your kids in the back of a vehicle where you can still shrug off any loss/damage because of their rather attractive price point (for a wireless ANC headset). POSITIVES: Okay, it's not ALL bad, especially at the value-oriented price tag we have here. The JLab Studio ANC Wireless headset is ridiculously light at just a hair over 160 grams. Coupled with the cloud-soft padding on the earpads, and the reassuringly solid but definitely not-too-TIGHT (even on an adult's head) clamping force of the padded headband, I doubt anyone will ever really remember they have them on, even for long listening sessions. The hinge-joint above each earcup allows the headset to fold up even smaller and slip neatly into the neoprene travel bag with enough room left over for the matching USB-A to micro USB charging cable and the micro-USB to 3.5mm aux cable (more on that dongle later). The bag doesn't offer any real damage/impact protection, but it does keep everything together in a neat little package. Battery life really is all JLab touts it to be--we went on a 2-day road trip with regular BT audio and ANC active without needing a single charge. The earpads themselves are rounded (as compared to the flat profile of the pads on the cheaper Studio Wireless On-Ears) which allows them to mold more readily into the various shapes and creases of the outer ear. This padding design resulted in a slightly better on-ear seal than can be achieved by the Studio Wireless headset which helped improve passive noise isolation ever so slightly. Operation is dead simple with only 4 controls to contend with: both ends of the volume rocker, a power button, and a large JLab logo button on the right earcup. As per JLab's usual thoughtful design and layout decisions, each control is distinct and uniquely shaped so you'd be hard-pressed to mistake one control for another. In use, the Studio ANC Wireless also features some helpful spoken-English status prompts and indicators like Hello, Battery Low, Ready to pair, etc. Playback and function controls are a fairly standard combination of button presses and holds, with options on the volume rocker for volume up/down (press) and track forward/back (hold); options on the power button for power cycle (press & hold 1 sec), play/pause/answer/hang up (press x1), reject call (press & hold 2 sec), Google or Siri voice assistant activation (press x2); and options on the JLab logo button for ANC activation which can be invoked for both BT and AUX connections. Overall, the controls are comprehensive enough to do everything you might really need without overwhelming the user with a bunch of truly complex button combinations or esoteric tone/beep indicators...as such, these could easily be passed to even a very young user without undue concern that they'd be at a loss as to what to do next. NEGATIVES: Ugh...where to start? First, the ANC in this headset seems to correspond to the "Low ANC" setting on the pricier Studio Pro ANC Over-Ear headphones (which featured two levels of ANC rather than just the one here). Is that okay? Well, these ARE pretty cheap to still offer ANC at all--and they're on-ear rather than over-ear phones, so I'm not sure how good people would expect the ANC to be in the first place. But suffice it to say, the ANC is only okay-ish. There's a distinct hiss in the background when ANC is running and ambient noise is more "tamed" or "muffled a bit" rather than outright "cancelled." There is no hear-through feature as is fairly common with other ANC headsets; but again, as the ANC itself is only slight-to-modest anyway, it is still relatively easy to make out sounds, voices, and other features of the environment--even with the ANC running--if you need to remain aware of your surroundings. Once you activate ANC, sound quality does take a noticeable hit, which is surprising given how well the ANC on JLab's true wireless earbuds work without appreciably impacting sound quality at all. But even without ANC in the mix, JLab seems to have prioritized the inclusion of ANC over sound quality in their recent line of ANC headsets, because the sound quality here is every bit as disappointing as it was on the pricier Studio Pro ANC headset (and in some ways, even more so). Highs come off as "strained" or lacking any real energy or precision--not that they're unpleasant or screechy, just that there's no sparkle or definition in the treble--acoustic guitar and piano notes just sound smeary and kind of dull. Bass is even worse, perhaps in part because the on-ear design limits the potential for quality bass reproduction right off the bat, but it lacks any real oomph; drums and bass guitars simply disappear as you're listening to them--like the headphones are just giving up rather than trying to play any low notes with authority. Normally, JLab offers some built-in EQ presets to help address such quirks in a headset's sound signature, or to cater to the user's preference for other types of sound profiles (we're partial to the "JLab Signature" EQ setting which has proven to be quite enjoyable and engaging across all our other JLab products); but in this case, there are no EQ presets, either. Finally, there's the matter of the AUX input. Kudos to JLab for even thinking of it here and for providing the cable necessary to make it work! But while most wireless headsets give you a female 3.5mm AUX port and a simple stereo-to-stereo jumper cable to mate up with the 3.5mm female AUX port of another source component, the AUX input here *requires* you to use JLab's included micro-USB to 3.5mm male adapter cable. Granted, many people looking at a value-priced BT/ANC headset might not ever hook an analog cable up to the 3.5mm port on an old laptop, gaming handheld, or Smithsonian-bound MP3 player...if so, the design choice here probably isn't a major player. But for anyone who might care or need that connection (say to a non-BT handheld or an airliner's onboard sound port for in-flight movies/entertainment), 'micro-USB-to-3.5mm-male' just isn't a common cable configuration, so heaven help that person if they lose the JLab pack-in that comes with these cans.

The battery is definitely long. I can use this for my classes and watch Netflix (over 15hrs total) without having to charge it. I don't let mines die, so I'm not sure what's the max number of audio I've reached. The sound is great and clear, no bass (I know some people are picky about it, but I'm not). I would definitely purchase these again IF the size of the ear circles were bigger. I'm the size of a 12 year old and wear glasses, and many times I have to adjust the placement of the circles and length of the headphones. It's bothersome and pains my ears sometimes.

These sound nice and clear but they don’t go as loud as some other headphones and they are not as comfortable as my more expensive Sony headphones. They do have a great battery life and go for days with out needing recharged. However they work pretty good for gym use etc. and represent a nice value at their price point.

The headphones work pretty well. Easy connection with my phone. Other than that, great audio and the noise-canceling function works well. I like that they come with a carry bag, fold up pretty small, and have a cord to adapt to wired headphones. They hold their charge pretty well. No major complaints, but they are a little smaller than my Sony headphones and don't cover my ears as well.

I've been needing noise cancelling and wireless headphones for a while (the wonders of working from home with another person in a small space!). These were on sale so I decided to just go for it. I wasn't sure about them at first, as I didn't think they were that comfortable initially. I'm glad I stuck it out, as after a few hours worth of wear the comfort increased tremendously. I now wear them for hours at a time with no issue. The noise cancelling feature works well, and I can't really hear my husband on work calls right next to me. Battery goes for pretty long, so I usually charge every other day with a lot of use. Call quality is decent, but I get by just fine with that too. I would repurchase.

I bought these headphones to wear while mowing. So far they are holding up well. The sound cancellation softens the lawn mower's sound noticeably. I have the earphones paired to my Apple Watch. The pads on the earphones are comfortable--a bit sweaty of course on a hot day, but not bad. For the price they are a good deal I think.

Upfront I need to say I only had this headset about an hour. However a review this early can still have some benefits. One, if you have not bought a new Bluetooth device recently, (I don't know a year or so)you are in for a pleasant surprise. Easier than I've ever seen BT work in the past. I connected it t surface Pro7, my desktop, my note 8, my Samsung tablet A and others. When I say easy I mean in every case the device was instantly recognizable and with a click device was connected. Quality of sound I would say is good. It would be unfair for me to say any better because I have ear issues, I did not buy for quality sound and music. However the primary reason for purchasing this device, was for my Dragon speaking naturally program. Having gave to my wife my Logitech with microphone boom, I was in need of a new headset. Long story short having read many headsets, the potential problem I would have would be no microphone boom. I incorrectly believed Dragon speaking naturally program required this and perhaps years ago it did. However, I could not have been happier when firing up my speaking program to see that the built-in micro performed flawlessly. So perhaps in time I may add additions to this review to indicate after some time if the device still works well. Honestly I doubt I will however if it breaks down on me in an unreasonable quick time, I will definitely come back and tell you all about it, as well as change the star status. Otherwise all I can say is so far so good. Thank you Sterling H. 4-7-20

Purchased for my son but I seem to keep borrowing these! Sound is excellent! Crisp and clear with fair noise reduction. The reason I really like these headphones is they last seemingly forever on a full charge. I mostly use them around the house while cooking and cleaning and they are more than adequate. May get slightly uncomfortable for long uses. My son has mentioned to me that his ears get a little sore after extended use as the ear pads are a bit hard. But I love em!

Bought use on a plane to watch saved shows on phone and it was great sound and the active noise button made a real difference in blocking out sound when needed and allowing hearing of attendants when it was off. Only complaint is the ears are small and its sits very tight and i was concerned it would hurt by end of flight but it didnt so happy with purchase. I can not speak to sound quality but it was clear for the shows i watched.

Absolutely love the cancellation feature but I feel like they're just a bit too tight. Hopefully through time they'll loosen up because I feel like it hurts my jaw area if they're too low ... Weird . I know lol but they're a great purchase! Just have to raise them high enough on my ears.
