Decent built, low sound, painful wearing for kids

Would work maybe in a quiet home setting, but definitely not a kids in flight netflix fix. We thought of just using it for online classes, but my 7 year old complains of ear pain after 30 minutes of usage. Its well built for sure, but cheapness comes at a price. The controls on the cable do not have volume control.
