The gorilla mount was sturdy and well made, but I wish the legs were slightly longer.

I expected better from Joby. Maybe a bad unit?

First off, let me say I love Joby products. But, this one disappointed me though. I bought this to replace my well worn SLR model. Loved the look of the 3K, red and black. I put my DSLR on and within a few minutes, the pod adapter came loose from the ball head causing my camera to hit the floor. Luckily, no damage. So I put it back on thinking that I may not have secured it the first time. I slid the camera back onto the 3K and heard the click of the lock on the ball head. Not 2 minutes later the same thing happened, my camera fell to the ground again. Ok, enough was enough, I went back to my car and swapped out the 3K for my older Gorilla Pod. I had NO issues the rest of the day. I may have just had a defective unit, I don't know. I ended up returning the 3K

Honestly I feel like this stand is overhyped. It looses mold kinda easily but it's small enough to put in a camera bag so I like that. It looses it's self up alot so I constantly have to be tightening it so that it does not swivel the camera. I'm looking to buy a different brand

This GorillaPod can handle a Canon 5D Mark IV, a 35mm lens and a shotgun microphone without any issues. The ball head is a nice addition for getting tough camera angles, when you can't/don't want to move the tripod.

The legs are really easy to manipulate to wrap around pretty much anything that is narrow enough. It doesn't have the best grip if it's wrapped loosely around something, so do keep that in mind. It also struggled to hold my Nikon D3300 in a fixed position. There was slight movement over time as it was angled downwards.

Overall I enjoy the item. I love the ability to bend the legs and it has a great reach for recording oneself in a blog. I can’t give it a 5 star because of the price. It’s a great piece of equipment but I think $70 is a bit much.

Works just fine with a phone. It will be a bit of a challenge for phone cases with pop sockets, but that’s the only downside.

Horrible, cheap plastic, does not bend easily. Some joints are stiffer than others and makes for difficult adjusting and will break with ease. Poor grip slides around and shifts easily. Thought this would be the one but quite the opposite. I handled cheaper ones off Amazon and now realize they were better.
