Customers are saying

Customers often highlight the GorillaPod SLR-Zoom and Ballhead Bundle's portability, light weight, and compact size as significant advantages. Many appreciate its high-quality construction. However, some users express concerns about the included ball head's stability and ease of use, suggesting potential improvements in this area. Overall, the positive feedback on portability and quality outweighs the negative comments regarding the ball head.

This is great for those odd level areas. But is time consuming trying to get it straight again

The first one I bought was broken before I even opened the box. Then I went to exchange it and the second one broke in a couple of weeks. Cheap material.

Some people love this thing, not me. I barely bumped the adjustment knob and thought my camera was about to smash into the ground. Returned.

I received a joby tripod for free in a bundle deal with the canon eos 6d. This tripod don't work for me, because it can't support the weight of the canon dos 6d with the lens. Plus, I just don't have any use for a tripod this short.

I have had 3 links on the legs break in almost no time at all. They get little cracks and the ball joints pop out. I use it very little and only in no stress environments. GARBAGE!

I love this product. Yes it's bulky but it's sturdy & handles our Nikon D5100 well. We used it to take "selfies" while traveling abroad. It'll grab onto tree branches or posts. Nice when you don't feel comfortable handing your $1000+ equipment to perfect strangers.

Made of great quality and that can do what normal tripods can't do. Hang on fences, stand on benches, etc. The Joby Gorilla pod works great with my GOPro Hero 3 + Black and Sony RX100. If you are looking for a small active tripod, this is what you should look into.

    Handy tripod

I bought this after passing it up for the less-expensive Dynex knockoff. After that one quickly failed, I forked over the extra cash for the Gorillapod. This small tripod has strong, easily maneuverable legs. They hold their position very well and were strong enough to support my DSLR while freestanding. The only issue I have is when I leave the head attached to my camera, the bubble level sticks out from the back of my camera. I haven't broken it yet, but anticipate knocking it into something. Overall, I am happy I bought this tripod and look forward to using it more.

    Very Versatile tripod

As a photographer, sometimes it is just a hassle to bring a gigantic tripod around. This tripod solves that problem. Although it won't replace a regular 50 to 60 inch tripod, you can use it in places where you have something to put this tripod on. It is very sturdy and haven't had a problem with it. I would definitely recommend this.

A well built tripod for your DSLR

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This is a well built portable tripod that can be used just about anywhere thanks to its posable legs. The addition of the ballhead is a big plus as well. I don't have a DSLR yet, but purchased it for my gopro and my point and shoot, but will be upgrading to a full DSLR in the near future. Very happy with the purchase.

Most versatile tripod on the market

I love this tripod. I use it almost every single day. I've wrapped around shopping carts around the headrest of a car on the staff of a boat it's really really really useful. It also makes a great selfie stick. That being said. The feet WILL SLIDE on a smooth surface resulting in your camera falling, my solution to this is to put something under the feet like a towel so it stops the feet from sliding (one towel that all 3 feet go on) Also make sure the tripod mount screw is SUPER TIGHT! It will loosen over time! Other than that....I love this thing.
