After grip this thing on anything but if you look at about 1, search around, because it's places that have this thing for only 10 bucks or less. Works perfectly with people who have a portable projector

I bought this to use with my Sony RX100. The stand is solid and when setup attached to a bar or on a flat surface, the legs can be adjusted to make the camera stand without any wobbling. The feel is secure and the stand itself looks solid without any flimsy parts. The stand is not designed for anything bigger than a point and shoot so move up to the next sized version if you want one for your dSLR.

Not only can I use this as a tripod, but I also use it as a handle which allows me to keep my hand steady. I bought two....one for the camera and one for the camcorder! Love them!

I love these, they're so versatile for sitting, hanging or wrapping around poles, for the occasional selfie, etc. The only one flaw is that once they age they become looser and may sink or not hold shape or collapse when bumped. I think that occurs near the top of their capacity, however. If you're using it for a compact camera or cell phone they'll probably be fine.

This is my second gorilla stand. I bought the new one because the old one had finally given out after 8 years (plastic piece had worn out after dozens of backpacking trips). Very easy to use and manipulate, allows the user to take great timer shots and also works a simple tripod for better focusing. You can mount this on uneven surfaces or even to a bar or tree branch. A solid buy.
