Overall great product idea - legs are a bit weak

I like the concept of this product, and have heard great things about the Joby Gorillapods for DSLRs. I have used this product quite a bit with my GoPro and my phone and it works well for the most part. I am a little disappointed that the strength of the leg joints aren't as strong as I was expecting. They don't grip as tightly as I would like. I've placed this on various different thigns including tree branches, light fixtures, and even the bike rack on my car. The legs just don't stay as tightly wrapped as the product description suggests. It DOES hold to things, but it's not 100% secure..

The flexible legs grab and hold to almost anything. Instead of having total strangers take poor quality pictures, we now have outstanding photos without the risk of someone stealing our camera.

We bought this tripod so that we could take it with us and use it with our Fuji X20, that way we had something that was easy to carry and it wouldn't draw much attention.
It handles the weight of the camera perfectly even though it's a little more that what the tripod is rated for. It's easy to handle, feels sturdy and you can place it anywhere without a problem.

I bought this for my Phone for when I need to record videos for random videos I shoot. I use a Square Jellyfish holder for my phone. I also tried this with my Canon EOS M compact system camera, and surprisingly this was able to hold it. The EOS M with the EF adapter and a 50 mm lens was able to be held by this tripod stably even when wrapped around a chair. This fits in my pocket, and I can whip it out when, or if needed.

I brought this tripod becasue it gave me tons of flexibility where I can wrap it around objects to be able to set it up anywhere and the surface does not have to be flat.

This tripod fits my needs for my small camera - which I want to be held sturdily because it's not just a point & shoot. I may test the larger model on my heavier cameras.

gorillapod is extremely flexible and easy to use. It is not big enough for a DSLR but will work well for a gopro or similar camera

We used this to take engagement pictures and it was so helpful. It attached to railings, branches, and poles. It held camera steady and never fell. The pictures came out great!

Years ago, I bought one of these for hubby to use, and then wanted one for myself. Love the idea that it can be adjusted easily to be used in situations where a tripod is needed. Price was reasonable and the small size makes it accessible in my camera bag. What is frustrating is the locking ring doesn't stay tight so the clip comes undone too easily, which might be a problem. Great concept, good product.

This little tripod is a great product. This is the 2nd purchase for me of this product. I purchased it for my daughter to use with a new pico(very small) DLP projector and it works great. She can position the projector to shoot on the wall or ceiling or attach it to the back of a chair to extend the height of the tripod, it is very flexible and handy to use for such a low price.

This thing is great if you want to setup a GoPro somewhere like a baseball game. Easy to wrap around a fence or prop up on the ground. Snagged it for $12 on sale!

I wanted a portable tripod for my S8+ cell phone and my pico projector. This tripod held both easily and was very flexible to adjust to the angle/height that I needed. After many months, moving around, and adjusting, it is a little looser. Eventually, I will replace it because it is a reasonable price and served its purpose well!

…or, in my situation, when mated to a smartphone tripod mount (not GorillaPod's). Very portable and light but sacrifices strength at the mount.

I recently purchased this item, so I'm waiting to make sure it holds up before I recommend too highly, but so far it's serving my needs excellently
