Watch the first John Wick movie before you get this one. It sets up the story. An interesting action drama... the John Wick series is almost like a first person shooter computer game with human actors, even the music often sounds like its from a game. But the story is tight, the plot is not surprising, Keanu Reeves and all the supporting actors are great and the action is non-stop.. Couldn't think of a better movie series to test out my new 4K Atmos BluRay system.

Prior to buying this movie, I made a point to watch the first John Wick. It did not seem as action packed at the beginning as this movie happened to be. And that sets the pace for the rest of the movie. It naturally leaves off from where the fist movie ended, but gets crazy fast. If you like the content that the first movie presented, then you will very pleased with this movie. Great action flick! I highly recommend it for those adrenaline junkies in the family.

1st off this movie looks great in 4K. Would say not enough color to show off HDR. But plenty of opportunity to show off deep blacks if your TV can handle it. Like many 4K movies the large black bars in the movie are not my style. Pay For 4K would like the whole screen to be to use. John Wick 2 is a good sequel. Prefer the 1st and sure many do. Mostly because the 1st was a surprise. In this one you know John more so you know more of what to expect.

Admittedly I've never been much of a fan of action films, even when it comes to acclaimed classics like Die Hard. A friend of mine urged me to give this film series a chance, he even bought the films for me to ensure that I do. The first film was intriguing, but for me too simple and too much of the same action pattern repeated throughout. This film, however, was more entertaining through expanding on the already interesting world and mythos from the first, it had more distinct settings for certain action set pieces, characters were more distinguished and memorable and the end, though a cliffhanger, was more satisfying. It's not an all time great film, but a good enough film with enough style and personality that it still deserves to be seen.

First off I think the 1st movie is still a superior movie, however when you watch this movie, as well as all of the special features, and you see all of the training and preparation that went into making this movie, it only makes me like and appreciate it even more so. The scenes where they show the training they went through for shooting the guns is crazy, and that doesn't even get into the martial arts, the knife fighting, etc. I can't wait for the next one.

This movie is a great expansion to the original and teaches the viewer a bit more about the world John Wick lives in and how it works. It seems even less grounded in reality and even more outrageous than the first, which can be a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it. The action scenes are gritty, brutal, and violent, but still shot very well.

typical John Wick,, leaves alot to be desired as far as story line, took a long time for plot.. Fans of mass maham will like this movie,, good stunts but got bored quickly, could have shaved a quarter of the time with the same quality of movie

It is said that movies that are 2nd or third in their series usually aren't as good as the 1st; Well I can tell you that is far from true in this case. Starts almost exactly where it left off from the 1st, so if you watched the 1st John Wick, you know immediately what is going on. Keanu Reeves does such a good job in this role; can't wait for the 3rd one to come out....and that is torture right there. Excellent movie

Fans of John Wick should own John Wick chapter 2 as well. The stakes are higher and more dangerous just keep getting higher and more dangerous all the way to the end. How the movie ends does leave to ones imagination that we are all in for a real treat for when chapter 3 comes out or stakes could be set to high that we might get a movie that could have to much going on for it to prosper on the big screen. Either way it will be entertaining to watch!

I'm pretty sure I made a review for the BD of John Wick Chapter 2 so I'll dispense with the plot recap for this one. I know some people don't like it as much but I appreciated how much Chapter 2 expands the world of John Wick, but what I'd really like to address is how much HDR makes the difference with this disc. Wow! I'm not normally crazy about things feeling like they pop of the screen but this looks fantastic.

A superb follow up to a very good first film. This one delves further into the world of John Wick. It's rules and codes that these killers all live by. Interesting and well imagined. A worthy sequel that needs to be in your collection alongside the rest of the series. The 4k presentation looks and sounds absolutely fantastic. Get it man!.

Purchased this movie, along with several others at this same time because I just recently upgraded to a Dolby Atmos surround sound system and needed fresh new movies to demo. John Wick 1 and 2 were two movies that were praised for its sound. I came away actually extremely surprised by how good both of these movies are. The first one is better to me than this one, but excellent nonetheless. Definitely sets up nicely for the new installment.

The start of John Wick 2 was an action packed beginning and the thrill ride didn't stop there. Keanu Reeves showcases his skill as a marksman in this movie and it was a fun exciting visual experience nothing less than spectacular . If you liked the first John Wick, you will absolutely love this film. In a world with on demand and two dollar Redbox movies this is a sure to own so that you can go back and experience it over and over again.

The first movie was a fun surprise - it proved Keanu still had what it takes to be an action star, and provided a wild, violent adventure for fans who are tired of the same old rote shoot-em-ups. This one improves on the original in every way. It's funnier, it's louder, it's more insane, it's faster paced, and just plain better. This 4k presentation is awesome, and absolutely the best way to see it. Do yourself a favor and pick this up!

Exactly what I needed, I have the other wick steelbooks and was missing this one. Both the exterior and interior artwork is amazing, specially because there are many steelbooks that do not have interior artwork. Any fan of steelbooks or John Wick trilogy must have this in their collection, highly recommend it.

Although the Critics seemed to LOVE JW2, we felt it worked too hard to be Stylish, and lacked whatever "heart" was on display in the original Still, it was, Indeed STYLISH - with a ton of action. But, although some the 'beneath the surface' looks at the culture presented in JW(1) were interesting, ultimately JW2 was even more of a "don't think about the logic" effort, which was disappointing. "Recommended" only for those who really enjoyed JW1, or who find it On Sale (was we did....): otherwise would suggest picking up the Boxed Set whenever the 3rd (or 4th??) comes out.... FWIW: Studio (Lionsgate) does not participate (yet - ?) in "Movies Anywhere." Redeemed to iTunes & UV (linked to Vudu)

This movie manages to take all the action and excitement from the first "John Wick" movie and expand on it. We get to learn more about the lore and rules of this secret society of assassin's and killers. This movie expands on what we saw in the first movie, gives new action scenes and gun fights, and it leaves room open for the third movie. I definitely recommend checking this movie out if you were a fan of the first one.

This film picks up where the last one ended following our "hero" as he collects his beloved Mustang from the Russians. With that task accomplished he hopes to return to his retirement but alas that is not to be. Called back again to fulfill a marker. The body count is high and the action intense as John Wick fills the contract only to find that he is now the target and his skills will be put to the test as he fights to survive.

John Wick 1 left millions of us shocked, had Keanu Reeves suddenly learned to act, not to mention shoot like a Spec Ops war machine?! Could this possibly be the same Keanu from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure? This man has been reborn as a world class action anti-hero, he's the real deal. Don't believe me, YouTube search his training. Buy John Wick 1 and 2, you'll watch them so many times you'll wear out your player!!!

Fantastic action and gun battles in this follow up to the excellent first adventure of John Wick. While missing some of the heart and emotion that was in the first, this sequel shows some of the evolution and change, the 'hardening' of John Wick as he is forced once again out of retirement. Sets up great for a third outing as well. More glimpses of how the assassin underground works which was brilliant. Highly recommend.
