The 4K transfer looks amazing on here, the colors really pop and looks absolutely crazy on an OLED TV. The Atmos sounds good, there is a DTS option on the standard blu ray as well. Quite a few features are on this release if you're interested in that. Overall, I highly recommend this release.

    John Wick: Chapter 2

John Wick Chapter 2 delivers much the same feel, tempo and action sequences as the first. It also has much the same idea- John Wick (Keanu Reeves) is a lethal assassin who is trying to stay retired only to be pulled back in the game. The movie picks up where the first one left off with a great car and motorcycle chase and an immediate high body count as Wick reclaims his stolen Mustang. This all before the opening credits. The plot is similar to the first one as he's pulled back into the game, this time by Italian mobster Santino D-Antonio (Riccardo Scamarcio) who demands Wick pay the debt of his blood marker. From here it's mostly Wick and every henchman for hire there is. What made the first John Wick movie enjoyable is it's highly stylized ongoing battles between Wick and the bad guys and here those actions scenes are ramped up and nearly constant. If anything that's the one criticism of this film and that is after a while, all the deaths seem repetitive and more than a little bit ridiculous in his ability to just keep going regardless of sustaining near fatal injuries. There is a sly reunion between Reeves and Laurence Fishburne that has a touch of their work together in the Matrix Trilogy. Also note Reeves did 95% of the fight scenes himself as well as the driving scenes and according to the trivia, he spent three months training for this. I give him credit for dedicating time and energy to throwing himself into the part, and I'm sure emerging with more than a few bumps and bruises as a result. Most actors wouldn't go near this amount of physical action sequences. There is lots of blood with lots of violence but if you liked the first John Wick you should enjoy this return to that world

Definitely worth adding to your 4K collection. Great action ad amazing (non-stop) gun battles. Keanu is great in the role as Jon Wick. I prefer the first movie (story wise) over the sequel, but both are great and highly re-watchable. The Neon color palette / aesthetics and every gun shot burns off the screen in vivid bright fireballs of jaw dropping awe. This movie is in everyone's Top 10 for reference quality 4K discs. Usually it's either a great movie, or a great Transfer, but with John Wick... you get both. It's a No-Brainer... if your reading this review, stop, add the movie to your shopping cart and start enjoying your 4K television purchase.

John Wick wasn't designed for a sequel. It began with someone killing John Wick's dog, and ended with the vengeance-bent ultimate-assassin stealing a new best friend from an animal shelter, after dropping 76 dead bodies along the way. The movie succeeded not on the strength of its story, but on the elegance of its action, and while it reaches at times to justify its own existence, John Wick: Chapter 2 boasts a reunion with Matrix co-star Laurence Fishburne and two major improvements on the original: First, no animals were harmed in the making of the film. And secondly, the human body count is significantly higher.

I was a big fan of the original, so I had high expectations for the sequel. It does not disappoint. The fight sequences are even crazier and the settings are even more beautiful to look at. This franchise has definitely resurrected Keanu's career and I'm already looking forward to the third. The steelbook is awesome to so if you can find it, it's worth the extra bucks.

John Wick returns in a movie the is violent but it is a stylized almost balletic display on gunplay in a world of bad guys anti antiheroes in which Wick is treated almost like a rock star The story and acting is imaginative in a way that is so untypical that it make his world seem like a hitman's fantasy The extras on the disk a very informative of Wick's world
