Won't work in either of my DVD players. It obviously is a dud.

Found no real story. Goes from fighting and killing to same again

will be returning. Purchase for digital copy, did not work.

John Wick 3 is an adrenaline-fueled masterpiece that takes the franchise to new heights with its relentless action sequences, breathtaking stunts, and stylish cinematography. Keanu Reeves delivers an outstanding performance as the legendary hitman, showcasing his unparalleled skill and intensity. With its gripping storyline, stunning visuals, and memorable fight choreography, John Wick 3 is a must-watch for fans of the series and action movie enthusiasts, solidifying its place as one of the greatest action films of all time.

As stated above, the steelbook and film are fantastic. The process of downloading the digital copy to your vudu or whatever streaming service you favor... is ridiculous. I had to download the "Lionsgate VIP" app to get a digital code that could've been printed on a piece of paper to begin with. The usual 30 second process of obtaining my DC turned into a 15 minute ordeal. Nothing bestbuy had anything to do with tbf.

You may be wondering, will I be able to follow the story in John Wick 3 if you haven’t seen the first 2 John Wick films? But that is the wrong question. The question you should be asking yourself is what is my proper ratio of outlandish action to plot in a movie? And if that number is high, then you should see this movie. Otherwise, you should enjoy some other movie.

It is extremely hard for a film franchise to maintain its intensity. That is not true for John Wick. As unbelievable as it might sound but Chapter 3 was even better than Chapter 2. The one thing that has faded however is the story. Chapter 1 had the fullest plot with Wick seeking revenge for the desecration of the memory of his dead wife. Chapter 2 was about following the rules of the assassins’ world Wick lives within, and then ultimately breaking them. The story was thin at best in that chapter, but made up for it with some amazing action. Chapter 3 you would expect would be more of the same, but it wasn’t. I have never heard as many oohs and ahhs in a movie theater as I did opening night of John Wick Chapter 3. The director took the action to an unbelievable level. The theme of this chapter is consequences. Again, like Chapter 2 things begin where the last movie ended. Wick has been excommunicated by the assassins for breaking the rules and was given a one hour reprieve by the head of the New York Continental, Winston played by Ian McShane. He must find a way out with a whole city after him. That chase scene that goes through various locations had some of the most incredible fight scenes put to film. The choreography and just ingenious methods they employed will blow your mind. Wick then goes to various countries and locations searching for a way to escape the consequences of his actions in Chapter 2. Of special note is Mark Dacascos as Zero hired to kill Wick. He added new dimensions to the classic villain with the hilarious lines and situations they put him in. The ending scene inside the New York Continental where Wick has to ascend a series of stairs before getting to Dacascos I’m sure was inspired by Bruce Lee’s last and posthumous film, Game of Death. Amazingly there is even less of a story to this chapter than the previous one and yet it was actually better.

The best action movie from start to finish ever made!

The original John Wick started off with a bang, but now, the series has begun to decline as the thin plot is stretched thinner. I was turned on to this series after reading a BB review for Resident Evil Vendetta saying that one of the lead characters, Leon Kennedy, had been given a fighting style much like John Wick's. I found this to be true, and it was fun to watch; the action sequences in both films were mind-blowing. However, it seems that John Wick is really little more than a live-action video game character. He should be dead by now, but despite even getting hit by cars and being shot off a rooftop, the man's still breathing. As is the case with most film franchises, John Wick is wearing out its welcome. Suspension of disbelief is becoming more difficult as we're being left with a mindless story with little plot. There isn't much of a character arc as John just shoots and brawls his way through one scene after another just so he can live to remember his wife. For that purpose alone, he's willing to return to his life as an assassin after he worked so hard to get out; for that he severed his own wedding ring finger. The ending of JW3? Another cliffhanger and a 2 year wait for what is likely to be another mindless episode of shooting, maiming and killing with no character growth, and no one to trust. Maybe I'll rent JW4 when it comes out, but it's getting tiresome, and the suspension of disbelief harder to manage as all the action is becoming pointless and the storylines convoluted.
