Great 4k transfer. HDR is great. The story itself was great as well. Dont expect a Heath Ledger style performance but Phoenix def has my 2nd fav Joker performance. It has violence but its more of a psychological look at Joker. Remember, this is a film that traces the origins of how Joker became who he was. Definitely worth a pick up. I loved it.

It’s as if Todd Phillips thought “I wanna remake Taxi Driver, but instead of the story revolving around Travis Bickel it will be an origin story of the Joker.” And it worked magnificently. Joaquin Phoenix gives a powerful performance as the downtrodden and misunderstood loner Arthur Fleck, who, after a series of events, ultimately becomes the Joker. A must see.

I rarely purchase movies anymore since they just sit on a shelf and there is so much content via streaming services. But this movie was great enough that I purchased it. I would be careful having kids watch this movie because I don’t know that kids would truly understand the context of what is all going on in the movie. But a great movie nonetheless.

Aside from the amazing acting, writing and score this 4K UHD is the best looking of the year so far. Digitally shot, it has a razor sharp image that captures the grime and filth of Gotham and details of Phoenix's expressive face. The atmos soundtrack really shines musically. The ominous score really gives your sub a workout and sets the perfect tone for the movie

I thought that this movie was well done. Great writing, great acting and great directing. It was a different take on the classic Joker character. You get a good understanding on why he became the Joker in an almost sympathetic way. I waited for a while for the price to drop and this Black Friday was my time to make the purchase.

I think a lot of people are starting to suffer from comic book / superhero movie burn out. I almost didn't pick up this movie for that very reason. I'm glad I changed my mind though because this is completely different. The movie's tone is darker and gives the viewer a deep insight to all the things that transpired to create one of the Batman's biggest arch villains. There were times where you could really emphasize with the Joker and that kind of character building always makes for a better movie. There were times where the movie dragged a bit, but it was very good overall.

Joker is one movie you just have to see. Even if you don't like "comicbook" movies, this is a can't-miss. I do believe it will be regarded as a classic as time goes on. I do want to issue a kind-of warning though - it's pretty dark. If you are not in a good place emotionally or spiritually, I'd recommend waiting to see this.

This was a great movie wether you are a comic fan or just like dark comedies. I had already purchased this movie on digital earlier, but still bought the physical copy because it was that good. The physical copy provides a better picture and sound quality, since there is no compression needed when compared to streaming it.

Joaquin Phoenix brought the comic book villain to life with heart and soul. Felt every emotion I think a person can feel watching this movie. Very hard not to like how brutally real Phoenix was playing this sad demented character. It's hard to imagine any other actor making you feel the way you feel about the Joker watching this movie. Job well done Joaquin!

I didn't know what to expect being I'm not the biggest superhero universe fan, but let me say its was a great captivating story. The movie keeps your attention throughout, and the build up of events to the ending was done great. The first Joaquin Phoenix movie I've ever seen, but definitely not the last. Cinematography and effects are great as well.

Joaquin Phoenix is mesmerizing in this rendition of the DC comic villian JOKER, This is a unique introspective version of the origins of The Joker a famous Batman rival from the comic book series. One can only imagine what it would be like to have grown up in an environment like Arther Fleck did, his mental instability from birth through adulthood proves to be too much for any one man to endure. Anyone seeing this could understand how someone could go off the deep end like this A tantalizing story It may not be what you expected, it pulls no punches... Just Crazy

One of my favorite films from last year. An interesting and unique take on a character we've seen many times over the years. Has the feel of a Scorsese film, which is likely why they asked Deniro to be in it. Phoenix is a master at his craft and this very well may be his best performance yet. And this 4K edition looks great!

Best Movie of 2019. I was very happy that he won his Oscar. If you are a DC fan this movie really makes you think about all of the possibilities going forward. If you are not a DC fan, it is a movie you can enjoy by only knowing the general history of Batman/Gotham. Fantastic movie. The UHD is amazing on my home theater.

This version of the movie comes with a steelbook case, the movie on 4K and Blu-ray, and a digital code. For the price it's perfect for collectors. Case has solid firm to it (other cases can feel like plastic). Can be a little hard to take the discs out of the case. If you enjoyed the movie and want a great way to own and display it, buy the steelbook!

Great movie but very dark. It makes you feel uneasy but in a insightful way (kind of like “Requiem For A Dream” if you have seen that movie) . It’s a lot of layers. You can take the move as it is or delve deeper into it if your into that kind of thing. You don’t need to be into super hero movies to understand it or be into it either.

I’ve watched Joker many times. The movie is “based” on the Joker from the comics, and director Todd Phillips does a nice job dropping some Easter eggs for Joker/Batman fans. This is definitely NOT a comic book movie or a movie for kids. I believe the film is nothing short of a masterpiece. A genuine piece of modern art.

This movie truly stands out from others based on comic tales. While Warner Brothers made the unforgivable mistake of not allowing Zack Snyder to finish his DC arc, they are attempting to make up for it. This is a beautiful story of the shunned and seemingly forgotten and the steelcase is gorgeous. With that being said... Release The Snyder Cut.

Wonderfully done although a troubling perspective of a troubled soul. A little hard to watch at times, but give great insight as to how and why the Joker came to be who he is. Joaquin Phoenix is a gifted actor, playing this role shows great versatility in being able to completely immerse himself in the character and provide great depth to the story

I liked this film because it was the first time I could actually see a villain like this existing in the real world. All of the things that led up to his creation could only come from an emotional, psychological and situational perfect storm. Joaquin Phoenix performance is nothing short of Oscar worthy. The film would have failed on a lesser effort.

This is the Taxi Driver or The King of Comedy for a new era. Great character study film about how a society’s treatment of individuals with mental illness can eventually lead to a breaking point. Also a great love letter to Batman fans and fans of Batman: The Killing Joke graphic novel. Great cast with excellent performances.
