Phoenix is incredible and the movie is gorgeous from a technical standpoint. it's just the fact that the movie justifies everything this character does, and it still doesn't come close to making him even an anti-hero and yes, i would recommend this to a friend because i believe all art should be viewed and evaluated by the individual, not the masses
