Not enough special effects to enjoy in 4k. Funny movie though

This was a great "sequel" to the beloved original film. It was totally different from the first, updated to reflect the times, which was a refreshing surprise. I was worried it would attempt to be a "reboot" or remake. A nod to Robin Williams' character in the first film was poignant and appreciated. Kevin Hart steals the show but Jack Black, Karen Gillan, and Dwayne Johnson more than hold their own. Nick Jonas was probably the weakest link, in terms of acting, but held his own against a confident, powerhouse cast.

Good movie. My girls love it. Great special effects.

I recently purchased a New Samsung Q90T 65" (2020) Q-LED TV and matching Q950T Samsung Soundbar and 4K UHD Blu-ray Player and wanted to purchase a few really good 4K UHD Movies to show off the picture and ATMOS surround audio. This DVD does not disappoint. Great movie with plenty of action scenes with very good Surround sound. And I got it on sale! Better than going to the Movies, especially now since COVID-19.

I liked this movie as a kid. Now it has been updated and re-released. This version is good, but the main reasons that I purchased this blu-ray are the 4K, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos content. Pop this into your player to test all three of those things at the same time. If everything is working, you should see a small pop-up on your TV that says "Dolby vision" and your audio receiver should say "Dolby Atmos". For that reason, this is an excellent test disc. And you get a good movie, too!

Great movie with a nice reference to the old robin williams Jumanji back in the 90s. 4k HDR picture is fantastic! Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Heart really shine in this comedy action adventure! One think I will say ( as a parent) that I did let my 7 year old watch the original PG Jumanji, but will wait a few years to allow him to watch this PG-13 sequel due to mild language and some suggestive scenes. Outside of that, excellent movie and I hope they continue this series!

I saw this movie in the theaters and didn't expect much but when I left I was very very surprised this movie out did itself it was actually better than the original, we actually get to see what goes on inside the game instead of outside like the original one personally I think they did a phenomenal job with how they made this movie, bought it on 4K because I wanted to get the best picture possible it's one of those movies I can watch over and over and over again and still enjoy it.

While the original Robin Williams film had a lot of humor in it, this sequel doesn't bother to take itself serious at all. When 4 teens in detention find an old video game system (that magically transformed from the original board game in the 90s), they are bored enough to choose 4 characters that they become after being sucked into the world of Jumanji. WIth only 3 video game lives to risk, they follow each clue and trigger each new plot event hoping to find their way home.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I saw this in the theatres. I was a fan of the original Jumanji and at some point I found out that this was a sequel (not a reboot). Trust me, if you liked the original and you think it being updated you will love this movie. All the characters are great and the method with how the "game" is played was very creative! The BLURAY looks great. I cannot comment on the 4k because I do not have a 4k player. A+++
