I knew I had to have an open mind and not compare this version to the original. That being said the movie was hilarious. The Rock and Kevin Hart make a great combination.

This package is terrific. The Blu-ray is brilliant with vivid colors and details showing the amazing scenery. Played it on my 55” UHD TV with a Samsung player. Looked and sounded terrific. The movie is hilarious!!! A group of kids get sucked into a video game and adventure ensues. Dwayne Johnson plays the hero character that is in real life a sickly, overly cautious, anxious young Jewish boy that is also a hard core video gamer. No more spoilers but Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Nick Jonas, and Karen Gillan do an AMAZING job emoting the teen characters they are playing the game as. So many interesting twists and turns and inside jokes. Playing the game changes their outlook on life just as it did for Robin Williams character in the original. Definitely worth watching over and over.

Can’t go wrong with the Rock! Action packed and hilarious all the way through.

A great standalone movie or a companion piece to the original. Glad there is a reference to the original. Interesting to see where they will go from here with the next one.
