Expecting much more...

The security staff use totally inappropriate firearms for such huge beasts so naturally they become the sacrifices to set up tension for the dramatics and "life threatening" situations. There's nothing in this movie that wouldn't have been solved by proper do-loop engineering to mitigate the potential disasters. Of course then the movie would have been boring!!!
