Not as good as original Jurassic Park Movies, but a good addition to the series.

I had heard this movie was good, so I had high hopes and expectations when I started to watch it. I was not disappointed. It has the prerequisite exposition period where they set everything up, but it wasn't drug out and boring. And once things start happening? Well, THEY START HAPPENING and they do not let up. It is not a 'feel good' movie, but a very intense cinematic adventure. The CGI is top notch and the acting is great (even the kids, which is often a low point in films). I definitely recommend this to any Jurassic Park fans (there are plenty of throwbacks they'll appreciate), and anyone who enjoys a good suspenseful trip. Not for the sensitive or faint at heart.

It comes in a nice round case but the disks aren't as protected as I would like

The BR comes in a round metal tin. I'm all for metal cases on my Blu Rays, but this one is round, meaning it won't stack on your shelf ideally. Inside the tin are a couple of cardboard sleeves, one to hold the BR and one to hold the DVD. Again, it's fine for what it is, but I prefer a normal BR case over this kind. Still, the Picture/Sound quality of the movie is fantastic. Given I got this set with a $5 BB Rewards Cert and a T-shirt all for $20 made the deal too good to pass up. Just be sure to save the cardboard exterior of the BR packaging if you ever want to trade in the movie. The metal tin has no barcode on it, only the cardboard exterior, so you will need that.

I like the concept behind this movie and like how they tied it to the original Jurassic Park. I would have liked to see more animatronics since that is a large part of what made the original Jurassic Park more real feeling but this movie held up well on its own. I do like the different dinosaurs that they showed and how they interacted with other people/each other. Overall a very good movie that lets characters step outside of the norm for movies while keeping them in situations and reactions that, on the whole, would fit well. Some things do seem forced but when looking at it from a standpoint of people going through something awful, it's more understandable.

Being a fan of the franchise I was looking forward to this outing. I loved Pratt & Howard's performances. The story was good not great but I am glad that we got another chance to go back to this world. The nostalgia tidbits were a nice bonus. Blu-ray quality: outstanding, tip top of 1080P in my opinion. The 3D is average as most are these days - really just used to enhance depth. Sound: off the charts loud & proud Extras: very solid, plenty of content to enjoy. The collectible release puts it over the top for me. The two Dino statues are awesome, the t-shirt was a nice gift, and the collectible tin is a nice plus. These specials are be-fitting this film.

This Bose sound system is amazing. The sound fidelity is crisp and clear I even hear sounds in movies that I did not hear in my old system. The subwoofer is deep and rich and kicks on perfectly. The input switch box that it comes with conveniently ties all my video Devices(cable box, blueray player, laptop) to the sound system and my tv with a single universal remote that works flawlessly. The soundbar hides easily in front of the tv and it's simple design does not pull your eyes away from what your watching which is a huge plus. I can't wait to get my 4K tv and I'll be set for sure. It even makes commercials worth watching with such amazing sound quality.

I absolutely love the original movies. This movie also had a lot of hype attached to it. Which to me were pretty accurate. The detail was awesome, had a great cast which did well together and the container was neat and large enough to fit the other movies. The disadvantage to the tin is that it doesn't really fit anywhere unless laid flat so I kept the package and leave it in that. As for the movie itself it was nice they used part of the original movie as well as the music but I wish the main fights were in daylight vs darkness. It was worth the purchase it came with a shirt and arrived the day before the release. I would recommend this movie :)

I didn’t think I would like the new additions to this series but I do

When I first saw the theatrical preview for Jurassic World, I was not impressed. I was sure it would be a shameless attempt, of poor quality, to get moviegoer's money. I was very pleased to see I was wrong. Jurassic World was a very entertaining movie with a rapid pace and all the thrills of the original. (I was not impressed by the few sequels to the first film.) In a sense, this movie can stand on it's own as a fun, unique escape into a world of Dinosaurs. I do have a 3D TV, but prefer 2D versions, and can tell you that the Blu-Ray presentation is excellent. You really can't go wrong buying this movie. Great family entertainment!

It was a fun movie. Not as good as the original but good just the same

This a great movie. I like where this storyline is heading into.

To begin with, I’ve never hated/disliked the previous two Jurassic sequels, not even the third movie, even though popular consensus dictates that I should. As flawed and not good as the first movie as they are, they still had their own awesome moments that made them fun, worthwhile watches. Having said all that—Jurassic World puts the previous two sequels to shame, and there’s no doubt in my mind that this is the worthy sequel to the classic original that most fans had waited for. Michael Giachinno’s score is magnificent, the writing is solid, the pacing is nearly perfect, the acting is great, the dinosaurs are as gorgeous as ever, the climax takes the word “kickass” and cranks it to 11—there is just too many noteworthy things of what this movie got right. I’m even so far as conflicted as deciding whether this movie is possibly even better than the first movie, but I’ll need more time before figuring that out.

Even if you have not watched any of the original Jurassic Park trilogy of films from the 90's and early 2000's, you can still get into this one as a standalone. If you have in fact seen the earlier Jurassic Park films, then this fourth entry in the franchise is a sure treat. The film brings back such things as amazement and eye candy that is rare to find in these days when filmmakers can just have the CGI do all the talking instead of telling a decent human interest story. Though the dinosaurs are CGI, I found the film was well executed in terms of human interaction with CGI creatures.

Jurassic World is a good fourth installment in this series, but not great. The real stars of the movie are the dinosaurs, though Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard give decent performances. As usual for a Spielberg produced film the casting for the two kids is spot on and as they get caught in their series of misadventures, the audience finds itself caring about what happens to them. The dinosaurs cause an extreme amount of mayhem and death, but that is about it for a plot as I was hoping for a bit more out of the human element. Chris Pratt gave a believable and at times funny performance, but Bryce Dallas Howard's "ice queen" was a little too much. Though she warms up a little by the end of the film, her best performance may be on the "deleted scenes" on the bonus features. Overall, special effects were great (especially the Indominius Rex), but next time a little more substance in the plot.

I was hoping they would release this movie in 3D video, so when I saw it I was very excited. However, what I did not realize was that this was not released like other 3D movies in the past where you can watch them on any tv with the special 3D glasses. In this release, you actually need a 3D television and blue ray player in order to see this movie in 3D. I did not see this on the packaging until I got home and realized my equipment would not play it. Unfortunately the store would not take it back at that point because I had opened the package. The package also includes a regular version of the movie as well, so it is not a total waste, but I could have bought the regular movie for one third of what I paid for the 3D edition. So I would strongly recommend that anyone who buys this makes sure that they really have 3D equipment or they will be disappointed. Otherwise, a great product!

I don't watch any of the Jurassic movies for the acting or the dialogue, though the first Jurassic movie can stand on its own two feet in both regards, I watch it for the adventure and action. This movie had tons of both and because it was a reboot great cinematography and action times 10. It did go a little over the top at times and is sure to scare the kids but honestly the original scared the heck out of me when I was a kid! I was happy I bought it whether for the memories, the laughs, or the drinking games (asset or animals)! But all and all a good watch, I mean all those teeth!

Growing up with puppets and animitronics, sometimes CGI leaves a lot to be desired or at least CGI that is done poorly. There are some scenes that look absolutely breathtaking when executed (the helicopter scene we all know) and others no so much (the attack scene in the sphere). In Jurassic Park fashion, something goes wrong as life bursts through the restraints of man and take over like a jungle left on its to flourish. The short comings mostly are lack of character development, some poor acting and unnecessary character deaths. One death in particular really took away from the store as they were lively and held enthusiasm that could have aided the franchise of Jurassic World. Overall you may enjoy it, its a summer film popcorn flick that has some really good Dinosaur scenes while also paying some fan-service.
