    GREAT Sound

I must say, for the price and size of these headphones, they sound GREAT! This is actually my 2nd pair. I was really impressed with the sound. The sound is clear and does have quite a bit of bass for the size and price of these headphones. However, the durability of these headphones are really poor. You have to handle these headphones like a newborn child (very gently). They will easily break (which is why these are the 2nd pair). It appears JVC made sound their focal point instead of durability so do keep that in mind. If you are buying these for a young child or a person who's rough or careless, these are not the headphones for that person. Other than that, LOVING the sound.

    Better than i expected

The Bass is very good, but it doesn't take away from the treble or mids, MAKE SURE your wearing then correctly or it will sound like things are missing. The frequency goes from lower than humans can hear and higher than humans can hear so i like that. If you have the EQ for go wild with thing it can take what you can dish out. The cord is VERY short, i had the headphones plugged into my computer then first time i used them and when i stood off they pulled me right back (im not crazy tall either). This thing looks lik if you pull on it the cord will rip from the phone, i would rather it a bit thicker and LONGER. I have 5 others living with me and we all like these headphone so i hope their durable enough to resist the fights..... All in all a good headphone.

My second pair of JVC headphones

I recently broke (stepped on) my 15 year old pair of JVC headphones and even though the leather had worn off years ago, I continued to use them. It was not a big leap for me to purchase another set from JVC however the low price made me a little sceptical of the sound quality. Becauseof the positive user ratings, I decided to give these a try. The other ratings are right on point. The sound quality is very close to my Bose quiet comfort 1 headphones at no where near the cost. I just acquired this set but I use them for just about all of my audio needs. If your looking for a quality set of headphones at a minimal price, look no further. Thanks JVC for proving my wife wrong. You can find quality at a low price!!

I am in Tech school full-time. I bought these to do my computer based training and to block out all external noise to concentrate on my studies. I play a type of music called Euphoria. These headphones do a great job of masking all outside noise. I also wera them continuously for 9 to 10 hours with no discomfort. For the price about $18 these were excellent add to that the fact that they fold flat to fin in my backpack with the laptop and books and you have a winner.

    Great Inexpensive Headphones

I have used these headphones for years. My original pair was mainly used while on the elliptical machine or bike at the gym. The left speaker eventually blew out since I always listen at peak volumes, so I have purchased a new pair and enjoy the same sound. I would also use them in the sauna area as well. For the money... $14.99, they are probably the best sounding headphones you can buy. They are over the ear though and some people don't like that while working out. I always wear a baseball hat while working out, helps the sweat from not running down into my eyes. I would put the hat on over the earphones which would keep them very tightly placed on my head. The tight placement also was ideal for producing much better sound and heavier base. These are awesome headphones that I recommend to anyone looking for cheap quality sound. They also come in some nice cool colors too.

Figured I was taking a gamble, considering the cheap price but am very impressed with these headphones. I listen primarily to classical and couldn't be happier with the sound quality - very full sound with clear highs and smooth, rich bass. Cord is good length for portable use but may be a tad short for desktop PC, fortunately, I have a 20"extension that came with some Sony headphones that adds just enough for my needs. Headphones are very light so very comfortable for prolonged use. Band is on the narrow side, though, would be better if a little wider in middle (top of head), I have somewhat larger Sony headphones that have better sound but they're too tight, especially with glasses on, so I appreciate these. The somewhat looser fit is fine for stationary use but might be problematic for vigorous activity.

These Headphones are quite nice. The price is right not too over expensive. Sound quality is exceptional with good base and treble being pretty equal. These headphones are very comfortable. They have cushioned pads and adjustable band. They feal pretty solid they are made with metal and plastic and the earpices fold up so they lay across your chest around your neck. The hinges could be better but i wont complain. This looks like a real winner when it comes to top headphones

    Very Good

For $20 these headphones are great. Upper lows, 160-250Hz, are a bit muddy in some places, boomy in others, but again, these are TWENTY BUCKS!!! Deep lows are VERY good. These cans are great for the price for rock, but for hip-hop and dance variants these are great at ANY price. Mids and highs are neutral. Comfortable to listen to and comfortable to wear, I could listen to these for hours on end while running or biking. Did I mention they are $20! GREAT value.

I bought these headphones after doing a lot of research on different pairs. I wanted a back-up pair to use for travel when my Bose headphones battery dies. These have excellent sound quality and are very comfortable on the ear. My only suggestion would be for JVC to pad the part that sits on your head.

I bought these for use while on the treadmill. I do not like the in-the-ear canal style. These have good clear sound and are comfortable. The ear pads are soft and are small enough to keep from getting too hot and uncomfortable while exercising. I have been using them for about a month and they seem to be holding up well. My only criticism would that the head band could have a little padding.

In many ways, these are the best headphones out there, in fact, you would need to search far and wide, and believe me, I have, to find a better "bang for your buck" and overall value for your hard-earned dollars. - check the 4.4 out of 5 review or Cnet recomendations.. Sure, Sol Rep. and much touted Beats, will give you more of everything, but at a price.. not just financial #very tight on the ears and wallet, IMHO.. If you like them, great... I just found the forced bass tendency to drown out the warm mids and highs that make up the musical spectrum, a bit unsatisfying and reaching for an suitable eq, or maybe just wanted to save money, and did not want to invest the time to burn-in.# .. Ok, the JVC flats may not be an audiophile's dream.. but .. Debate, if you will, for the overall tonality, the amazing comfortability - #so light, you may forget they are there#, and the ability to achieve a reach of satisfying volume, put these in a class all of their own. Sound isolation; 30mm drivers; neodymium magnets; stainless-steel headband; pivoting earcups. Rivals much more expensive headphones, and handles a variety of music/genres effortlessly on my Samsung Galaxy s3. Here we go.. first a good read.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equal-loudness_contour Bose Ae2 - Massively comfortable, light on sound. These tend to live in the highs to mids, very little base, although, they can, on occasion, suprise to hit the lows solid #don't beleive me? Download the Crackle..stream Drive...forward to around the 4-6 min mark #don't quote me on this# and hear and feel how Nightcall by Kavinsky rattles and hums..its amazing.. I returned these, because I could achieve the overall volume I needed.. although I can attest to Bose quality and longetivity. #one word..,the audio display does tend to provide a much stronger amplification..always consider the nature of the source..# Sennheiser.. I can see how many revel in the flat pure sound these produce, to me I simply wanted more distinction, everything flowed together in a gauzy haze of simliar tonality, none more pronounced then the other.. I get the whole flat sound, as I once did I little in home studio.. and I swear by my mdr-7509s Professional HDs any day for warm tones, earthshattering volume, and feeling like you are there, right there moments.. to many moments to count... Skullcandy, for me the line can be trumped by the JVC flats, less than $20 for comfortability and overall volume output. Sony.. ah sony...start low on the Model: MDRZX100/BLK- good buy, and good price, certainly entry level. for most people.. this would suffice. Then make the jump to the mdrzx300ap - major jump in volume output.. worth the extra $25..if.. you can deal with the thin, less soft then you would prefer, ear pieces. ok they are not BeyerDynamic DT250 Pros #$171 on Amazon# , I get that.. you can't compare consumer with professional.. next looked at the DJ headphones - approx $79.. solid choice, and I can see why this would appeal, however be ready for a tight seal and vice like grip.. also common wit the HDJ500 - 5hz to 27,000 hz.. also tight on ears.. but ask a DJ for that.. You may be enamored, as I was by the Model: MDRX05/RB - it has this - Sound isolating; 40mm drivers; neodymium magnets; advanced direct vibe structure; microphone with remote; foam ear cushions; dual folding design; Apple® control cable; carrying pouch .. if that leads to your Nivarna, great.. it handles Jay Z and the like with grace and precision.. however it does not do so great on 90's powerhouses, like Nirvana, PearlJam etc.. the bass over powers and leaves a hazy but very LOUD cacophany of sound, with somewhat distant vocals.. To me, the 2 best go to the Model: MDR10r and the aforementioned JVC flats.. Mdr10r. simliar in tone to the Bose #debatable of course# yet more punch.. and most likely due to the 40mm driver.. good range #5-40hz# and warm tones.. Then... go with some old school Depeche Mode, and the volume just tanks.. not sure why.good sound, just a little low on volume.. I did grab the excellent Poweramp app and boosted volume and low end bass by at least 50%.. somehow.. it works better, albiet strained when pushed too high.. The JVC flats offer comfortability and volume output that rivals most headphones. small footprint.. big sound. Also the warmth and details are there.. check out All we ever do is say Goodbye by John Mayer.. and hear the tonality of the guitar, with his voice front and center.. the bombastic cruch of Evenflow, and Not Falling .. the always excellent Incubus on A Crow leftt of the Murder. these are fairly precise and will continue to surprise.. for the price .. it can't be beat..

Nice product and Excellent price @ BestBuy I was looking for a headphone with good quality but was not ready to shed more bucks. I reviewed JVC headphone and found great deal here. Its has great sound and clear BASS - makes movies a real treat. The sound leakage is very-very negligible even in high volume. So anyone besides you will not get disturbed with the action sound from movie/game. I am buying this again for my office, as to keep myself focused I listen to music and don't want to disturb other with sound leakage. I will 100% recommend this product. Don't believe my review ? - search CNET for the same product :-)

Judging by the other good reveiws I was skeptical at first but these things are awesome for the price. I purchased these for a child to use with a Nintedo 3DS but decided to try them out myself with music. Wow, very good sound quality for this price range. To qulify this, I own several higher end headphones from both Bose and Sennheiser and these things aren't that far off from those. If you're in the market for great sounding heaphones and don't want to spend a lot get these...you won't be dissapointed. I would put these headphones up against others costing much more than these. The only downside I see is they don't completely fold up but what do you want for $18?

Considering the cost of these headphones, they are quite good. As affordable as they are, its surprising the sound that comes through. No, they aren't Bose. But they are still rock solid headphones. They're also comfortable on the ears and you can wear them for some time before feeling the need to take them off. Definitely worth it!

I actually bought these headphones thinking they'd fold up to a smaller size. As it turns out, the speakers just rotate, and it doesnt fold up for better portability. As for the sound, it was very clear and vibrant and the bass was amazing. Definately would recommend to those who are looking for affordable headphones with great sound and bass. However, they can't take much abuse.
