I'd advise putting headphones in a ziplock bag so you're not looking so hard to find the covers. Otherwise they do the job for the price.

Feels like my head is being squeezed by a vice

The headphones are extremely tight to the point where I cannot wear them for even a few minutes without pain. The sound quality is about what you would expect from a $15 pair of headphones: pretty terrible. The only positives I can give are that the cushioning is decent and the headphones swivel, allowing for a better fit. I just wish the fit wasn't so painfully tight.
