Great sound, but problems with functionality

The Marshmallow+ True Wireless Headphones manufactured by JVC are great sounding earbuds with respect to clarity and musical octaves. Most of the functions work as stated inside the manual. The only problems that I could realize were the functions of music pause/play and skip track. I could get the tracks to pause always, but could never get them to play by touching the earbud, Also, I had problems with the skip track function. It never advanced forward or moved backwards to the prior track, after pressing for two seconds. Besides those two functions, the other functions operate exactly as stated. They still sound great with a rich pure sound giving full range of octaves which is the basic purpose of a listening device. I still appreciate having the Marshmallow+ True Wireless Headphones.

They were literally plug and play but controls are very confusing. Touching them, pressing or even repositioning them stop playing or skips to next song. They are very comfortable and they come with charging case. I am still having issues figuring out controlling them since there is no actual buttons on it. Plus is you can use one at the time Pros: Good size Comfortable Great sound quality Cons: Confusing controls

    Premium Sounding True Wireless Earbuds

The JVC Marshmallow Plus True wireless earbuds (model HA-A17T) are a premium sounding set of earbuds. They have a wide range of capabilities and sound well across the spectrum of music – from highs to lows and the midranges these earbuds sound excellent. I tested these using many testing tracks that I have used in most of my reviews and they include numerous songs that are pristine, well-recorded tracks, tracks with wide dynamic range, tracks emphasizing bass, and tracks that get one tapping along. Let’s start off with the features of this set of earbuds. First, these are Bluetooth 5.0 earbuds and are of course powered by built-in Lithium-ion batteries rated for up to 5+25 hours of battery life. This battery life rating includes the carrying case battery being used to recharge the pods. They feature low latency – to aid in playing and gaming, have touch controls on both pods, a detection sensor to control the pausing and playing of audio, dual microphones to aid in their performance for making phone calls. The touch controls are all the controls you would expect for powering the earbuds on/off, answering/ending/ignoring calls, voice assistant, music play/pause, and skipping tracks, and one to enable low latency mode. The earbuds come with 5 sets of tips – 2 memory foam (M and S) and 3 Silicone (L, M, and S) so that the fit can be customized. The manual recommends trying the medium-sized ones as “they fit most people”. Overall, in my testing, these earbuds performed well and sounded excellent for both calls and audio, and would be a good addition for anyone who likes to use earbuds for their audio needs.

    Learning curve...?

I recently received and tried my JVC Marshmallow Plus earbuds.  I’ve tried using them with my phone, making and receiving calls, and listening to music.  I’ve also used them watching videos on my tablet and playing games both on my tablet and Switch.  All of these applications worked well, and I am satisfied.  However, being an absolute novice in the area of earbuds, here are some issues that I have had.  1. As is often the case with small electronics, the manual is very difficult to use.  Not only is it printed very small, but the language it uses assumes you know something about earbuds. 2. No matter which eartips I used, my ears hurt after use.  I assume that I would get used to this over time. 3. I couldn’t understand the instructions for answering and making calls.  When did it need to tap twice and when three times?  For that matter, finding the right place to tap is a challenge.  Sometimes a double tap works to hang up the phone, but often I double tap several times before it works.  Again, this may become easier with repeated use, but it remains a challenge for me. I expect that these earbuds will be used primarily if I am driving, on a plane or when making long phone calls, so my hands are free.  While the above review may seem a bit negative, I actually like them. Certainly worth the low cost.

For the price and sound quality these are fine. There’s no app for android or iOS to operate these from the phone. The sound quality is good, not the most comfortable headset I’ve tried but not uncomfortable. Basic touch commands such as play, hang up and answer are there. No fancy features, not really noise canceling.

Very nice, great sounding mid-range pair of blue tooth headphones. First off let's talk the connection, I barely did anything and they immediately worked, very simple, straight forward and quick. Sound quality is quite good in my opinion, rivals that of the much pricier headsets I've owned. A big factor that I really like about these is the large contact area magnetic charge ports that connect correctly every time with little effort to get the earbuds seated properly - I've had others that are a pain to get and keep charged consistently. Touch controls are a little "touchy" (haha) but take some getting used to. Overall these are a great pair of headphones that sound great and don't break the bank. I like these for working out because they sound fantastic but I'm not worried to get them sweaty, stinky, break/lose one, etc. Their price point and high quality sound make them a good option for any application. I like these a lot and would recommend to anyone.

This is a great pair of in-ear headphones. The instructions were pretty basic, pair with your device, connect. The sound is awesome! Very comparable to my more expensive earbuds. Highly recommend.
