Three stars for the price and sound only. I try to always give products a fair chance when I am afforded the opportunity to test them out. I use the products and then give honest feedback. The headphones however have me conflicted. On one hand they meet several criteria for inner earbuds. They are well built and easy to manage. They have an excellent battery life with USB-C charging. They are a JVC product too and as such deliver wonderful sound. Then the craziest part is that they are only twenty-five dollars at the time of my review, with inflation though they will probably be eighty by the time this post. Now with all the good that these could have been, they missed one simple step... Make them in an earbud size that people can actually wear. I have larger ears as a forty two year old man who had tubes put in when I was child. I honestly do not know whether that is relevant or not but thought I would share. They do fit in my ear, but they are not discrete, and I am hyper aware that I am wearing them. I have other branded inexpensive earbuds that fit all the same grade metrics but actually fit in most ears. My wife and teenage children could not wear these. I would recommend these, but it must be for someone with larger ear canals. Again, these sound great, look cool, and feel like they are built to last.

First of all, these don't use rubber cups to squish themselves inside your ear canals. They sit comfortably just barely in the ear. While the sound is not quite as good as real in-ear units, the increase in comfort is well worth is. However, I did have one issue and one suggestion. The one issue that I had began when I received a call from my video doorbell. After hanging up, the sound was constantly dropping in and out, and there was noticeable echo (the audio was not synchronized between the two units). This was horrible and made the ear buds practically unusable. However, putting them both back in the charging case to reset them and taking them out fixed it, and they have worked reliably since. Seeing as how they don't actually sit in the ear canal, and they lack clips to hold them to the ears, some MIGHT find that they don't hold well during exercise. I took mine on a vigorous walk and had no issues at all. But everybody has different ears, a different fit, and a different definition of "excercise." But from my experience, they held in quite well. The only other "feature" that is lacking is that they don't beep when you tap on them to play or pause the music. You tap once and wait for something to happen, but it takes a while to know if you missed the tap area. Overall, the construction quality is quite nice for the price. The case does not look super tough, but should be quite fine for day to day usage. It is also a little larger than other popular units, but since it is a fraction of the price, this can be easily forgiven. So, my overall rating is that these are not perfect, but for the price, they pack a lot of punch. Recommended.

    Quality sound, questionable fit

The JVC - True Wireless Earbuds - Black offer quality sound and features for a price far below the big name competitors. With similar style and shape of the popular fruit brand, these earbuds bring the same high quality sound and design you have become accustom too. The overall performance was good. The charging case charges quickly and holds a few charges for the earbuds. The earbuds seemed to play for about 6-7 hours of continuous play - not bad for the price point! Comes with everything you need... 2 buds, 1 case, and a charging cable. I found the JVC - True Wireless Earbuds - Black to be excellent for everyday sound quality. Bright highs, thumping lows, and clear mid-range. The overall quality seems a bit too plastic-y to me however. The charging case is a bit hollow feeling making me concerned it could be cracked easily. There are not "tips" on these buds and the slick plastic become a concern as they fell out when tilting my head to the left or right and when the heavy winds were blowing. PROS - JVC brand and recognition - Quality sound - Competitive quality for the price - Interactive app helps your customize the buds to your preferences CONS - Very plastic - Slippery earbuds - A bit cheap feeling in the charger case

Finally an alternative to the rubber tipped pods

These are the perfect low budget earbuds if you want to avoid paying 5 times as much for a similar product from ‘you know who’. I have always loved the plastic earbud style versus the rubber tipped headphones. I usually buy generic brand knockoffs online, but it is about time a reputable company is producing earbuds like these. They are very comfortable and the sound is great. The battery lasted all day and the included case will also charge the buds. With specified taps on the earpiece, you can answer calls, pause music, turn up and down the volume, and all the usual features found on most headphones. I would like to point out that they are not noise cancelling. Depending on your personal preference, this could either be good or bad. Personally, I like to hear a bit of my surroundings at my workplace. A few other notes worth mentioning- they are IPX4 rated for proof against sweat/rain and can be used In a single ear if you wish. Overall, a great buy and finally a better alternative to the rubber tipped in-ear headphones.

Ibhad been using th Samsung Budz, they brokenand with mybwarranty i got money back and decided to try something different. These were $29.95 and im telling you they sound and fit better than my Budz. My budz always poppednout at the gym and didnt have the booming bass. These little guys stay in snug, they dont pop out and they are loud enough that I cant hear any outside noise. The other feautures.dont matter to.me these are for my workouts and theyre perfect and the price is great.

They sound fantastic and connect immediately never clip out by far the best for the money and better than most $100 earbuds I wish Kenwood/JVC would come out with an app so you can boost the volume a little only bcz I like it loud enough to make my ears bleed. Id bet if they raised their prices their sales would double if not more people pass over them bcz they think they're cheap but noway they're AWESOME!

I have always like the brand. Bud is a bit big for my ears, falls when I talk or smile or move. Volume is great only on left bud. I tried to reset volume from my I-pad but same thing. Sound quality is good though and battery life. I’ll try other brand this time.

Good music sound quality, clumsy otherwise.

Music played on these buds sounds very good, outside of that, they are very clumsy to raise and lower volume, as well as make it perform any of it's other functions. You're supposed to tap your fingers certain ways (which you have to remember which ways) to control these. They often misread the taps and lower or raise the volume when you're trying to do the opposite. I've turned them off by accident a few times too. Also, just tried a call on them outdoors. It didn't go well. Slight wind made my voice unable to be heard by the person I was calling and their voice was also was very difficult for me to hear. Sounded rather garbled. Got to say I'm disappointed with these. On top of all of that, it was very difficult to get them to connect to my phone initially.
