Poor sound quality

I like the in ear piece that also wraps around the ear as I use these to listen to old MP3 player when I ride bike or mow grass. The quality seems OK so far, but the frequency response is poor. Sounds tin-y, (as if made of tin). I thought it should be better sounding with a JVC name on it.
