The moment I installed this Kaperski anti-virus, my new pc crashed. It took 2 full days on the phone to crash it and get back to use. It knocked off use and would not allow re install of my scanner, printer, files, screen, everything went wrong. Only when I got the manufacturer of the pc to take charge, they discovered the Kaperski had actually changed and destroyed my registries! DO NOT INSTALL THIS PRODUCT. THROW IT IN THE TRASH. NO WONDER IT WAS "GIVEN TO ME FREE" BY BEST BUY. BAD BAD BAD

This Anti-virus software was part of a PC "package" I was giving as a gift. The recipient had just loaded a different anti-virus software and didn't need this at the time. When I tried to return it, I was told I couldn't and that it wasn't activated at the time of purchase and I could just reuse when my previous software expired. However, continually received emails that the software WAS activated. Called Customer Service to clarify and was told that it was indeed activated (although it was not being used?!?!?!). They suggested contacitng the store (again) about allowing the installing it once the previous one expired. Told I couldn't do that, so now this software sits without being used and that's money down the drain.

Kaspersky might work if you dont need Java. I had to uninstall ,need Java for work and no way around that. Kaspersky really bogged down when opening all pages,some links never would open. Major hang time problem.

The laptop I bought from best buy came with one year of Kaspersky but it expired and stopped protecting my computer after one month. I switched back to McAfee since I have a subscription for my other computer.

I have had many anti viral programs over the years and I have to say that this one(Kaspersksky Anti-virus)is the worst one I have ever owned or heard of. From day one I have had problems, very difficult to load then once it finally got loaded it has caused so many other problems too numerous to mention here. If you have to get an antiviral program get Norton 360 much much better.Tried to get Best Buy to resolve the problem and they just want to send it back to ASUS and charge you $35 for shipping with no guaranty as to how long it will take or if ASUS will be able correct the problems.

Was free w/ purchase of computer, but the computer came w/ 3 months of Norton antivirus, which I wasn't told about either. They should tell you then activate this after the three months of the Norton.

I have heard others say it is a good program, So when I bought my laptop I chose it. So far so good. I have not had any trouble with my laptop as of to day.

I have tried many anti-virus programs. This program is outstanding. It has already found phising on facebook. Very Happy and would recommend to friends.

This software was included in the purchase price of my computer, and I am not familiar with it, but after a month, I see no issues with its use, and it seems to be doing the job it was designed for.

i installed this on my new laptop because i got it for 6 months free and was recommended by my sales associate. after the first few days my laptop started running really sluggish so i ran all the test i could so i ended up calling the manufacture when they ask me if i had this program installed which i said yes. the suggested uninstalling it and see if that helps and it did. so while in concept this program seems good it is just too intrusive in the fact it totally bogged down my new laptop with next to nothing on it.

I installed the antivirus and it was working great. Next day i turn on my computer the antivirus says the license number is not valid. So i call the geek squad and they couldnt figure out what was wrong with it and why it was doing that. Got transfered to online support and they couldnt see what the problem was either. So my money went to waste and i had to purchase a completely different antivirus

My purchase with Best Buy has been a nightmare. I purchased a laptop, this came with it. After two weeks the keys on the lap top stopped working, so took it in to have it fixed. They sent it off, it was gone for two weeks. When I got it back the power cord (also relinquished to store) was gone! They could not locate it, therefore stinks to be me!! I have a laptop I cannot use without spending another $80 on a replacement cord that they lost. . .I will likely NEVER do business with them again!

I installed this onto my brand-new Sony viao laptop. Everything went okay for a month and then the software quit working because the license had gone out of date and it wouldn't update. I had the one year agreement to this software and it only lasted a month. You can get much better software for free off of the internet.

This product was recommended at the time of purchase and I'm glad I purchased it so I don't have to worry about viruses on my computer. It's nice to have peace of mind.

I THINK EVERYONE SHOULD USE IT, IT REALLY IS A GOOD PRODUCT. I TRIED TREND MICRO AND I GOT A FEW VIRUS AND A Trojan Horse, I HAD TO GET MY COMPUTER CLEANED.

went online to renew my subscription and got a confirmation but my subscription has expired and when I call Best Buy I was told to contact Kaspersky and when I did that and explained my problem I was told to take the matter up with Best Buy so I contacted them again and they told me it was a matter to take up with Kaspersky.....very frustrating and I am going to delete this program and buy another brand of Anti-Virus, I feel I have been cheated!

I have enjoyed the use of this product with my new laptop thus far. It seems to be very beneficial; it was easy to install and it does all the work for you!

I am sorry but I have only had my notebook a month and the antivirus was installed when I got it and have not noticed anything that I do not like about it

What a JOKE to force the activation of this software when it is scanned at the check-out register. I don't need to use/install this right now so, it's basically wasted... I E-Mailed Best Buy and requested that this be replaced with an unactivated copy. I got absolutely NO REPLY AT ALL... LET'S SEE IF ANYONE THAT ACTUALLY READS THESE REVIEWS...

Got it for free, but the 6 months or 1 year free starts at purchase, not install. I'd rather get a discount then this software.
