Have yet to install this as the laptop came with Norton for a year.

This product seems okay, first time using it. Hopefully it works.

The Geek squad installed it, and using it is not complicated.

This software takes too long to start up whenever I turn on my computer. After my computer is booted up, Kaspersky takes an additional 3 to 5 minutes to start up, meaning the computer is not protected for the first several minutes. I'll probably switch to something else soon.

I have used Kaspersky on one of my computers and totally disliked it. Not user friendly, imo. The free anti-virus programs perform well and are easier to use. I have been using computers since IBM came out with their first desktop and have had a computer virus only one time.

Found it not really useful as a complete security product.

Purchased Kaspersky on the recommendation of a Geek Squad tech for a new laptop and for two other PCs at home. It was difficult to install and extremely slow to update and run scans (much slower than Norton). Immediately began to have issues on all three PCs and called support for help. The first response from the support tech was that is was an issue with my internet provider. This proved not to be the case so I was back on the line with the support and after they had remoted in to each of the three PCs told me it was a Kaspersky issue and recommended I try another virus software. I returned the Kaspersky and purchased Norton. The Norton is running fine with no issues. I recommend going with the Norton or something else…anything but Kaspersky!!!

The only reason I have Kaspersky is because it came with Geek Squad for $15. Geek Squad was of no use for the reason I bought their membership so I got my money back on that but by that time I had opened the Kaspersky package and was stuck with it. Since my last anti-virus protection was out of date I went ahead and installed it. I never bought Kaspersky before because it's seems counter intuitive to trust your pc to a company from an area of the world known for hacking and identity theft. After a month of using it, I don't think I'll last a year. Will probably take the $15 loss and call it a day and buy another brand. I have all the "features" turned off except the bare minimum I think I can get away with to avoid having it tank my system.

Am not sure how it works but it has a guide if needed.
