Kaspersky has been my choice for security on my computer for at least 4 years and I have found that it works very well. A geeky nephew recommended it and his advice was sound. The reason I gave a 4 instead of a five is because the renewal process for this software never runs smoothly. Also, on rare occasions, a really determined hacker can still make my computer act wonky.

this comes free with laptop for 6 months, i dont like for 6 months at all, it would be better for a year...

It is okay but it starts the minute you purchase it. So if you install a month later you lost a month of time.

Scans when in use, which slows my new computer & does not let me choose overnite scanning and updates.

Descent software but it tries to be too controlling-of me! Many pop ups that are annoying and unnecessary.

Installed on my lap top and it keeps telling me to register, other than that, it does the job it should

After many years of being a Bit Defender loyalist, I got this for free with a purchase of a laptop. I figured I would give it a chance. I am pleased with the performance, doesn't seem to effect the performance of the PC, and has caught several threats. I am a security analyst so I sometimes have to bite the bullet and open sketchy files. Good product.

Love the product, but if it's supposed to be for one year, it's certainly not. So in six months, I'll have to subscribe again. This time for one year, which is what I thought I was getting. Best Buy really needs to clarify this when you purchase the product with a new computer. I would only recommend if the product subscription is actually for one year and not six months.

I received the Kaspersky IS for free with my purchase. It is a pretty good internet security software.

I got this antivirus for free for a year so I am trying it out. It's ok so far-I normally used AVG. But I like that it notifies you when it catches something and I automatically program it to scan and update so it really doesn't bother me much. I think its pretty cheap regardless so at least at the end of the year if I like it I will just buy it for another year ($15).

I have had to disable this software due to the WiFi connection issues it is creating with Windows 10.

Cost me 3 mos of unexpired coverage. Would not load correctly with Firefox; created problem with some sort of script in Mozilla; kept telling me that I had not finished installing the program - even after the Geek Squad had installed and told me it was all updated. Tried several times and had to go to Geek Squad remote to try to fix - but that didn't work. Interned mail slowed to a crawl. Was told it was probably a ISP problem - tech spent 3 hours and didn't find problem with our moden/router. BIG headache - if Best Buy having so many problems with this Kaspersky - which messes up both Dell computers and the Mac - why does it keep being the recommended program?? I iwll be making another trip back to the store with the PC - and since I have difficulty walking - am not happy about that, nor about the $200 spent to fix the problem. So basically I left the store iwth the problem not solved. Geek Squad Tech advised that the computer basically in good shape with no problem with hard drive, etc

It may be a good program but it was awful for me. I had to have it removed from my new MacBookAir. It caused all kinds of problems and eventually I had to have Apple wipe my new laptop clean and start all over to reload my new Mac from my backup. So to be fair, Kaspersky may be fine, but your Mac does not need it, so don't let anyone talk you into using it.

Its ok. It does what is supposed to do. Kind of a pain in the butt

how I am supposed to install this free software onto a laptop with no CD drive. I'm a bit confused.

I installed it since it was free for a year, and so far it has done its job. Nothing too fancy though.

This product performs as expected but its so burdened with "other" features that it loads slow and interferes with normal computing tasks. Way to over kill, user interfaces for deactivating non-essential features are cumbersome to access and understand. Don't like that you get bombarded with security risk alerts if you don't enable all their features.

Haven't had it that long. A product like this really needs more time to evaluate but so far it's OK.

Got it free with my laptop purchase so why not use it. First problem is that is comes as a cd, PROBLEM is my new laptop has no cd drive. I had an external drive that worked to load it. My fault but I may have been able to download it with the install keys in the package I honestly did not look. Seems to be working fine on the laptop. Nice that it is a 3 unit install also.
