Cute case, not sure how protective

I usually try to buy cases that have the bumper that goes all the way around but these Kate Spade styles are so cute! The shell is plastic and is "cut out" at the volume buttons, charging port and on off switch. I haven't dropped my phone yet- I imagine I will hold my breath when I go to pick it up hopefully it will be OK !!

She already had this same one, but it was a couple years old. Given how long the previous one lasted it was definitely worth purchasing again. Her only complaint is that the texture of the case makes it difficult for a pop socket (I think that is what they are called) to stick.
