Not only is it hypnotic, but it seems to be fairly durable. We have an absolutely adorable 9 month old who has a not so adorable habit of throwing everything she touches (apparently this is normal for kids) and she has chucked this phone probably 5 dozen times now and the case appears to be helping, not a scratch on it yet
