It's purely decorative while adding some protection. The bottom didn't fit well into the 6plus and I had to trim a bit. It was also uncomfortable for her fingers as there was a sharper edge to the bottom so I had to trim that off too.

The large screen has been great for these aging eyes and the finger print ID world very well. I have been a fan of apple products for some time now. Customer service went above and beyond with the manager of the cellular department at the Gainsville store. Many could learn a lot from her.
