Side buttons are too stiff

I actually have several Kate Spade cases for the iPhone 6, and all of the others work as expected (and I like them very much), but for some reason, the side buttons on this one were super stiff - so stiff that I couldn't even change the volume or lock the phone with a normal amount of pressure - it took two hands to be able to work those buttons. I ended up returning this case. It is possible that I just picked up one that didn't work, I just don't know because I didn't try another of the same.
