It is cushioned to protect your computer, the color is vibrantly beautiful and I receive compliments every time someone sees it. It is a great alternative to traditionally bland colors and is backed by Kate Spade's wonderful customer service. It shows great craftsmanship and is well worth the price. I'm gonna purchase one of her iPad covers as well.
