While I don't consider myself to be an audiophile, I do appreciate a system that delivers relistic sound reproduction through the spectrum of frequencies, and that can fill a room with beautiful, full sound.
As a fan of Klipsch, I set out to listen to their bookshelf speakers, but unfortunately the display at Best Buy was not working. I decided to do more on-line research and ordered the KEF Q150s. While I've heard of KEF's great reputation, I never owned their products.
These speakers do not disappoint! The sound reproduction is accurate with extremely satisfying lows, midrange and high frequencies. The imaging qualities are fantastic - you can close your eyes and imagine where all the band members are located. I recommend pairing with a subwoofer to optimize the sound reproduction.
My only disappointment is that these speakers don't come with speaker grilles. It appears that these are $20 each, and not currently available from Best Buy nor KEF. Not a major issue for me since my speakders are located on upper shelves; but I could see this being frustrating for some.
Overall, I highly recommend these speakers.

I’ve been running the KEF Q150s (in white) with my Denon X3800H, and the combination is phenomenal. These speakers punch well above their weight, delivering crystal-clear highs, rich mids, and a surprisingly full low end for bookshelf speakers.
The Uni-Q driver design really spreads the sound evenly, making the soundstage feel wide and immersive. Vocals are clean and detailed, and they handle complex tracks with ease. Movies and music both sound incredible, whether at low volumes or cranked up.
The white finish looks clean and modern—great aesthetic if you're trying to keep your setup looking sleek. Paired with the Denon, these speakers shine without needing tons of tweaking. Highly recommended if you're building a high-performance yet compact audio system

Let me begin by explaining how I am powering these speakers - using the An Douk Audio ST-01 Pro Tube Amplifier. Prepare to rediscover your favorite songs with these speakers! Simply close your eyes and let the music take you away. I was pleasantly surprised by the impressive sound quality they produced, with crystal-clear sound, perfect highs, deep bass, and excellent instrument separation. Although I was initially skeptical about the all-in-one driver, they performed exceptionally well and offered a larger soundstage than expected, making them a great value for their price. In addition to their exceptional performance, they also have an attractive design. However, they may be too large for use on a desk. Overall, I highly recommend these speakers based on their outstanding sound quality, which is the most crucial factor for speakers, particularly at such a reasonable price point.

A great value, especially at the price I paid. Beautiful design, very clean, modern, and the sound is balanced and decent. I think they are designed to be part of a larger surround system as rear speakers, but I use them in stereo on pedestals in a 12x12 room as computer speakers, tv speakers, etc.. I have a super basic cheap amp with a RCA red white connector I connect directly to the computer or phone with a 3.5mm adapter cable. They are non fatiguing. I would recommend lowering the amp a little and heightening the audio output volume on the source. Something about that makes it sound less "sharp" like in a painful way. Smoother, cleaner sound by a hair. Just my experience though, I eventually want to get a Yamaha 301 and ultimately a Technics receiver so these are good starter speakers and setup in my opinion.

Great set of speakers and they look amazing in their walnut version. The sound is warm and rich, quite musical. I upgraded from a Klipsch RM-51 set and haven't looked back.

Very nice speakers, especially with the half off sale. Very musical, but also good with movies when paired with a sub. I use one on its side as a center channel. They also sound great off-axis (we sit on a long couch to watch movies). The cabinet itself is cheaply finished, but they do look really cool. My kids call them "Darth Vader" speakers as they have a bit of "Death Star" motif with the uni-Q driver. They aren't as efficient as, say, Klipsch or SVS though, so you need a decently powered AVR or amp to drive them. When I compared them to SVS Prime bookshelves, I had to turn the volume up 3 clicks to get the Q150's to produce equivalent sound level (I used a dB meter).

The Best Buy representative that I talked to helped me greatly when it came to figuring out my audio setup as well since I'm new to the world of sound systems; I initially heard these in store and didn't quite feel that they met my expectations. Decided to bite the bullet in hopes that they would sound better in my room, and boy am I glad I took the chance with these. You'll get quality sound without having to break the bank on an overboard audiophile setup, definitely would recommend these to anyone looking to getting into audio!

I've never written a review for speakers before until now. I HIGHLY recommend them. After the usual break in period these speakers have been outstanding. I've owned Bose, Klipsch, Polk, JBL and others. These are clearly the best speakers I've owned regarding accurate reproduction and clarity regardless of price range. They're highly rated on many respectable websites and one of the best bang for buck models available. You will need a subwoofer...

The sound quality of these speakers is unmatched if you’re entering the world of hi-fi. Keep the size of your room in mind, as a subwoofer might be necessary for medium to large spaces. Additionally, investing in a high-quality amplifier is essential to unlock their full potential; otherwise, you risk underutilizing their capabilities.

These are a well made brand and an addition to my tower speakers. really forward to putting them all together and listening to cool music and watching great movies. I missed the sale on the slightly bigger pair but these should do well.

I purchased six of these speakers to use for a digital pipe organ and they have worked out well. They are an excellent value for the cost. They have worked well with pairing them with my two subwoofers (non-KEF) with a low frequency to assure the lower range requirements of the pipe organ. I also tested them with my record player and they sounded great playing records as well.

These little speakers look great, and sound even better. It doesn't take a lot to pump them, but it CAN take a lot if you decide. The "Uni-q" speaker design ensures your low-end and high-end are in the same spot which is most noticeable nearfield (listening close to the speaker). Off axis isn't as much of an impact either... my speaker sit toed in (of course) because I'm using them as computer speakers. I don't know if I would pay retail for these, but I got them at roughly half the cost so... absolutely worth it. My ONLY issue is that they don't get quite as loud as I would like. If I replace them any time soon it's because of that reason.
(It's a bummer that you have to drop another forty bucks for grilles though.)

I purchased these speakers for a small 2.0 setup, connected to a Sonos connect amp and rotel cd player. These speakers are very impressive for their size! The staging is very good, they are fairly smooth with a warm side leaning a little on the bright side depending what you are listening do. They also look the part, very well built. These do have a pretty decent low end for its size, however placement will be key, leave at least 8-12 inches from the rear of the speaker to the wall. I currently have them on a pair of monolith stands and they fit perfectly. Would highly recommend these when on sale.

Excellent sound for the price. Very musical speakers. Perfect for a smaller room. I’m using these as near fields on a desktop setup with a denon amp feeding 90watts. Really great soundstage with a crisp top end. Midrange is pretty warm. Sounds really good all around. Bass is tight but will likely need a sub for 50hz and under. Position them correctly and enjoy. Excellent purchase, I would buy it again.
