Customers are saying

Customers appreciate the Q150 Series 5.25" 2-Way Bookshelf Speakers (Pair) for their amazing sound quality and impressively wide soundstage. The speakers are also praised for their beautiful, clean, and modern design, as well as their incredible imaging and impressive size. However, some customers have noted that the speakers require significant power to perform optimally.

I've always liked Kef speakers (although I own and prefer Bowersd & Wilkins). When I saw these on sale for half price I jumped at upgrading the speakers in our secondary system. I wasn't disappointed. Although no speaker this size will have really good bass they are surprisingly satisfying for casual listening. The kids and highs are quite good and on good speaker stands they project much larger than their diminutive size. Well worth the $300/pair paid.

Sounds great but do recommend a center channelnor 3rd bpokshelf speaker as a center because movie audio mixing makes it hard to hear dialogue at low volume hut for music amazing standalone

Crisp clear highs, great imaging and separation and surprising bass given their size. Not sure I can justify the purchase of the newer Q1 Metas with these being SO good! Wouldn't pay full retail But at 299 these are an absolute solid buy!

So far so good! I have these paired with a Marantz SR8015 and I can't complain about the sound quality. Working on building an Atmos system, and these will end up being my rear speakers. Very clear sounding, especially compared to a sound bar. Wish they came with grilles, but it is what it is.

Fantastic speakers for the tiny room I put them in. A lot of sound in a little package. I got a great deal on an open box pair. Not sure they are worth full retail though.

I bought these for listening to music and for the TV sound when watching movies; these KEF speakers have very good sound and the bass is much stronger than I would have expected for a smaller size bookshelf speaker. I have them installed on a recessed shelf below the TV and the bass is strong enough that you can feel it in the floor structure; I was originally planning on adding a subwoofer to my system, but that may not be necessary now. When watching movings, the sound is much clearer than my previous Yamaha speakers. When playing CD's or streaming music the fidelity is much improved over my old speakers as well. I took off one star from the rating because the walnut veneer laminate had a number of raw edges that I had to carefully color with a brown marker to make them blend in with the rest of the cabinet; KEF's quality control should have caught that in the factory. Definitely worth the sale price, although the regular price does seem a bit steep.

My first pair of Kef speakers and I’m truly impressed with the sound. Not to mention I purchased them on sale so if you’re looking for some bookshelf speakers check these out.

Extremely detailed and precise delivery from the unique KEF driver. The clarity is exceptional - not too bright. I will venture to say that I didn't detect any change over the first ~100 hours of use so I'm not sure that these need to be broken in. A bit more boomy than I expected, perhaps due to the installation location, but the provided foam plugs did the trick to bring the bass down a bit. I like the Walnut finish. Note that these do *not* come with grilles. I contemplated buying them (sold individually, not in a pair...), but the speakers are so beautiful that I'm leaving them "exposed".

I bought these for a near field listening setup in a home office. Pros: The highs from the metal dome tweeter are beautiful and not harsh or fatiguing in any way. The bass sounds great too. One of the first songs I played through them was Dire Straits "Ride Across the River" and it sounded fantastic. I listen mostly at low to medium volumes. Cons: They don't sound as good at higher volumes. Bass can become boomy. Also mid range seems to become more recessed as volume goes up. I am using an Aiyma T9 pro which is a fairly low powered amp. Going to try an amp with more juice and see if that helps with midrange. Also, I still need to try different positioning in the room. Overall, I think these sound fantastic for near field listening at low volumes.

I love these speakers. I use them for PC audio. The audio source comes from a creative AE-9 which feeds into a EMOTIVA PT1 which in turn gives signal to a EMOTIVA A2 amplifier that drives the speakers. The sound stage is large and these speakers image exceptionally well compared the EMOTIVA B1+ which were my previous favorite for the desktop setup. In my opinion, the white looks very clean and contrasts very well against the speaker and lettering. I’m very pleased with these speakers at $300.00, and I believe you will be too if you purchase them.

I recently purchased these to replace a very large set of speakers in My Automotive repair shop and was first concerned with the overall size and if they would compare to a the old speakers......WELL LET ME TELL YOU THESE THINGS ROCK! every single employee has been blown away with the clarity and the bass these small speakers produce! 10/10 recommend these to anyone

Great design; great value. They work well as surrounds or as fronts (paired with a sub) for a home theater set up. If you can get these on sale, do so.

These are the best bookshelf speakers you can buy for $350 a pair. Although they lack a little in the lower end, it can be easily fixed with a decent subwoofer. Instead of spending the extra money on the Q350 I think these provide the clarity one looks for, with the price difference allowing for a subwoofer; providing better lows than the Q350 alone. I use them for music, gaming, and movies, and they sound great. They can get very loud.
