Best speakers I've ever owned. Period. I purchased a pair of Concerto Metas previously but I really I really wanted these, exceptional open box purchase so I saved quite a bit. I have them powered by my trusty Rotel A12 in a two channel stereo setup. Loving what I'm hearing.

Did a lot of research to make this choice. I have a small-ish space and wanted speakers that were detailed but not cold, bright, or fatiguing. I got what I was looking for - detailed, balanced, really a joy to listen to. Tough speaker to beat in this price range.

Excellent sounding 3-way book shelf speakers. I have a small home office and was looking for a full range book shelf speakers due to minimum space. These are perfect for that application. Speakers have a wide forgiving soundstage with really smooth base response. The speakers are placement forgiving and sound outstanding in less that ideal room conditions. The speaker fit nicely on top of the B&W speaker stands which are much cheaper that the KEF stands.
Speakers are paired with:
Cambridge CXA81 Amp
Cambridge CXC CD Transport
Music Hall pa2.2 phono pre-amp
Music Hall MMF 5.1 SE with Ortofon Orange MM

Excellent speakers at $2,200. Treble is very good, mids are clear and precise. Bass is decent. Imaging it's is strongest attribute. Worth the money. Paired with a sub and a power neutral amp and you will be satisfied.

Great speakers even for a large room. Paired with Marantz 40n Amplifier. Like listening in 3D.

Incredibly beautifully sounding speakers with a great soundstage, handling highs, mids and lows with ease.
Would highly recommend.
My only suggestion would be that Kef provide a pair of Cotten gloves with these as fingerprints are an issue on the gloss finish.

Very good sounding speakers for audio.
Very strange echo for anything voices in movies. It was an open box and there might have been something off about them, hard to tell.

Amazing bookshelf speakers. If you like the KEF sound you will love these. Do really well in a small room. The mids and highs are just breathtaking. Might need to add a quality subwoofer, especially for medium to large size rooms.

Kef speakers are phenomenal, Best Buy not so much. I ordered these as Open Box Excellent, they arrived with scuffs all over the finish, missing the rubber feet that these speakers come with along with the instruction booklet for wiring and closing the ports. Luckily I already had the book from when I purchased another speaker.

Best Buy gave me the runaround on this one. First the product showed shipping. After I entered particulars to complete the purchase, website said shipping was not available. Drove close to 100 miles to pick up the KEF 3 Meta. As others have said, the description of refurbished products is unreliable. Marked excellent when I bought it, it was without a box or accessories, even a missing grille(!) and dinged up. Buyer beware!
My recommendation to not buy is only for open-box speakers from BB.
