Instead of fancy brew temps and large carafes which nobody ever used, this model focuses on higher quality build and easy of use controls. The first time you put in a k-cup you will literally feel the difference with design and quality. My wife especially loves the STRONG brew button as it makes a real difference in the coffee.

The 2.0 kept exploding K-cups while brewing. The new K-Elite has gone back to the original style K-cup receptacle where the K-cup sits flat/parallel to your counter instead of angled like in the 2.0 series. Have not had ANY issues with this coffee maker! It also brews hotter than the older 2.0 and is much quieter too! I'm a happy K-cup user again!

Also, when you using the reusable K-cup, the grounds go everywhere.
