No, I would not recommend this to a friend Poor operation, failed after 5 weeks

Besides its poor measuring system it died after 5 weeks of ownership. My original K50 still works fine.

For example now you are supposed to fill your cup with water then dump it in now as there are no line indicators anymore.

Wish i would have went back to the full size model
