The water heats up fast and when you are ready to make a cup of coffee it works immediately! The only reason for the 4 stars is it appears to be made with cheaper plastic than my older unit. I just hope it holds up to the daily use. My last one lasted 11 years!

This is nice, just doesn’t feel that substantial. It feels flimsy. Maybe I expect too much. I really hate the lid on the reservoir. It’s hard to handle when removing it and putting it back on. I think I drop that thing in the reservoir at least once a week! There is no good place to grip it or to hold it.

Don't Get This Machine

I read reviews that these models had issues but decided to give it a shot. The reservoir is small, it takes forever to warm up, and even though I've only had it two and a half weeks, I already have grinds spilling over the side of the latch lid and spitting into my coffee cup. This is what my last machine did at the end before it died. The K-Select feels cheap and chintzy. This is going back and I'm replacing it with another K-80.
