No power to unit after initial setup

Followed all directions and troubleshooting, next time went to plug in no power. I will be returning to the store for a replacement, this was brought as a Christmas gift for my mother. We had an older Keriug unit that did the same thing my wife moved on to a D'Longhi unit that has been trouble free. Overall I love the design and potential features, I'm hoping this was just a bad product and the replacement will do its job, would have given 4 stars if it wasn't for the issue and inconvenience.
