This is a classic Studio Ghibli film that is exceptional. However, this version edits out the extra sound-effects and extra dialog from jiji's that a lot of viewers remember watching as a kid in the original english dub. So, this one is more authentic to the Japanese version!

This film follows the story of a young witch who has just turned thirteen years old. As per tradition, she must leave home for a year to train in a new city. In this city she struggles to overcome the hardships of being on her own. The film has an interesting plot and is quite heartwarming. It is a good coming of age story and has beautiful animation. I've seen most of Hayao Miyazaki's films and this is as good as any of them.

Cool little box, other than that it’s a regular Blu-ray

The movie is both imaginative and interesting. Inspires young audiences to not be afraid to go out on their on and follow their dreams. Kiki may be a young witch but she has all the spunk she needs to overcome her let downs to eventually triumph in the ending. I misplaced the DVD during a recent move. Sooo happy to have found another copy.

Great music and fun plot with talking cat. Our 4 year old likes i, and there is not any violence. We started watching this series of Japanese movies with "Totoro" and have since seen a few (including Ponyo) and we really think they are all cool... and very appropriate for our kids. The story line pacing and "plot arch" are very different than popular current american kids movies - but our kids really like all of them.

Lovable movie but avoid the English dubbed version like the plague. I am a huge fan of Phil Hartman (RIP) this is not his best work. His direction for Jiji is horrendous. Watch the subtitled version before the English to understand what I mean. Great movie for the kids too. Would not impact the review due to this execution of a lovable character in English version because the movie is still excellent.

Another Miyazaki masterpiece. Kiki's is a heartwarming film. Like most studio Ghibli films. But does something that a lot of children's movies struggle. It's as enjoyable for the adults as well as the kids. And it doesn't try hard to do so. Like so much of the garbage aimed at kids is on screens today.

My little girls absolutely LOVE this movie. It's hard to go wrong with a Studio Ghibli. As an adult, I find many children's movies and programming to be grating. It's so nice to have media that won't get on your nerves. I watch my children's movies to make sure they appropriate, and there's something ineffably enjoyable about Studio Ghibli.

I remember having this movie on VHS way back in the 90's, and some of my fondest childhood memories was sitting on the couch and watching it with my mom. When my VHS player died, I had no way to watch it anymore, so when I found the bluray for the first time, I had to buy it. It was wonderful to see this movie again, and reexperience the joy and emotion it brought me during my childhood.

I purchased the blu ray to upgrade my old dvd copy. I was heartbroken to learn that the audio track is different. The original has Gigi wisecracking a LOT more, and it really adds to his character. I actually returned it.

Kiki's Delivery Service is a beatifully-animated and heartfelt tale from Studio Ghibli. It may be difficult for some viewers to latch onto, particularly older viewers and men, as there is no major conflict. This story centers on a young witch, Kiki, and her adventures growing up and starting a delivery service. Still, it is a joy to watch. The Blu-ray looks fantastic. Recommended.

It's a good example of a Studio Ghibli film. The characters are charming, the story is cute and interesting, and the art is beautiful. I'm in my 30s and a big fan of Ghibli films; while this movie may seem tailored toward children, people of all ages could certainly enjoy it. A good introduction to what Studio Ghibli has to offer!
