Kiki has the feel of a proper Disney movie heroine, full of willful optimism, with talking animal friends and quirky magic. But Miyazake films all also have a feel to them- a novelty and yet nastolgia, due to the characters and actions all being so relatable they could be real. Kiki’s delivery service is light hearted a fun, a perfect kids classic.

The steel book itself is generic. However the movie is an anime classic. Kiki is a young witch and upon reaching age, she is able to set off into the world to become a master witch. It is a take of coming of age and discovering oneself and how we each fit into the world.

Ghibli films are very popular now. A lot of the newer ones may not be for younger audiences. This one however is perfect for that. It tells the story of a young witch who sets out to live on her own. It's the classic Ghibli coming of age story without a lot of the more violent or scary scenes. I like all Ghibli films and this is one of the best.

An all-time anime classic from Japan's beloved veteran animator Hayao Miyazaki. Beautiful artwork and creative story-telling that captures and moves one's heart about everyday life's moments and struggles, and teaches us/ shows us about human frailties and how we find meaning through the "little blessings" we receive in this canvas called - "Life".

This is one of my favorite Myasaki animated movies. The characters, the heart, the setting and of course the fluid hand drawn animation are all exceptional. If you like animation, you should have all his works on Blu-ray, but this is a good place to start. Enjoy the rich narrative and characters and let this masterpiece put a smile on your face.

Great movie, if you like watching the FedEx person in real life. You can experience the thrills, and chills, if postage delivery - in cartoon form. Also, you can weep openly (it’s okay) when you hear the sounds of Phil Hartman’s voice - as we all miss that dude. Cats, specifically voiced by Phil Hartman, are pretty neat.

We purchased My Neighbor Totoro, Ponyo, and this movie within the same week. All three are directed by Hayao Miyazaki. My son loved Totoro and Ponyo, but he didn't really get into Kiki's Delivery Service. I think Kiki's Delivery Service is for slightly older kids (10 or so). I thought it was a good movie, so I gave it 4 stars. I'd give it 5 stars if there was also a digital copy. This blu-ray was priced similarly to others which include digital copy. I don't know if it's because it's a Japanese movie or not, but I prefer blu-rays with digital copy so we can watch the movies on the go.

The first time I watched this on DVD,it was inspiring. After getting this movie on Blu-Ray combo pack,I enjoyed it more. And also,Matthew Lawrence(famous for SuperHuman Samurai Syber Squad)as the voice of Tombo. And also in memory of Phil Hartman(famous for the Simpsons,and News Radio).Do get this movie,you'll love it.

As with all Studio Ghibli films absolutely great and would give this a 5 if not for 2 reasons...has been a long time coming and, in part to reason 2, Disney owns distribution rights which means high prices and a terribly looooooonnnnnnggggg wait for Blu-ray releases. With another 3 looming in Feb 2015 including Tales from Earthsea where's Spirited Away? Unless you have an all region player to get these from overseas...and I might add that being a Ghibli Fan I have because Disney has not even released a small number either DVD or BD format....or willing to pay even Disney Pricing these movies are never disappointing.

Another great movie by Studio Ghibli. Very kid friendly. Awesome characters as always. Jiji, the cat is a very comical companion to the main character Kiki. No, major conflict to overcome in this film. Establishing relationships and finding yourself in an unfamiliar world seems to be the major theme. Loved this light hearted flick!

Kiki's Delivery Service is a coming of age story about the trials of a young to-be witch who must set off on her own in her pathway to adulthood. Don't expect the plot to be especially complex/dramatic for adult viewers - as a film designed to inspire young girls, I think it hits that mark exactly. The steelbook package itself is pretty barebones, but it's nice to have if you want something more durable or just like collector's editions.

Kikis delivery is a 1989 Japanese animated fantasy film produced by Studio Ghibli. It was written, produced and directed by Hayao Miyazaki as an adaptation of the 1985 novel of the same name by Eiko Kadono. The film tells the story of a young witch, Kiki, who moves to a new town and uses her flying ability to earn a living.

I purchased this movie for my daughter that is a big fan of Studio Ghibli. Every movie from this studio is so special and thought provoking. We highly recommend this movie and all others by Studio Ghibli. Unfortunately, the studio shut down, but at the very least we have a wonderful collection to view!

Just watched Kiki with my parents and my daughter. Everyone enjoyed it. My daughter (5 yrs old) wasn't interested when I was putting it into the play, but once it started she was sucked in. Great characters, setting, and animation. Much better than most modern cartoons I have to sit through.

Kiki's Delivery Service is an incredible film that our entire family enjoys. The animation is great, the characters are realistic and well-voiced. The story is enjoyable, but don't be expecting high-octane action. This is a slice-of-life show about a girl growing up and learning about who she wants to be. Highly recommended!

Whether you've heard of Ghibli or Miyazaki... if you love movies, period, you have to own this. Such a beautiful film, and the audiovisual presentation is perfect. If you prefer dubbed versions, the dub versions of these films are done very well. And of course, there's the original Japanese track, too.

I am a huge fan of the Studio Ghibli films and was excited to purchase this and add it to my collection. It was made an even better purchase when the whole family took an interest and love in this film - wife and 7 yr old son both thought Kiki was an interesting character and enjoyed watching her story.

My daughter loves this movie. It is one of the best Ghibli coming of age films. There's no violence and nothing that scary in it unlike some the newer films so it's perfect for really young children. It's about a young witch movie out on her own, making friends and experiencing the world.

this was a gift for my partner, they loved this movie back when they were a child and it was fun to experience this film with them as an adult. Awesome that it comes with a Blu Ray and DVD, getting a digital copy would have been nice.

I absolutely loved watching this as a kid, I watched it over and over. Getting this movie Blu-ray was the best choice. When I put it in my PS4 Pro and the music filled the room, I was instantly taken back to being a kid. Definitely a classic for me and worth every penny.
