Fun, exhilarating indie; questionable accuracy on some of the details, but enjoyable

A good movie to show the truth how crack came to America. But pretty drawn out tho.

Got this because it was cheap and liked the cast. Overall worth the watch.

Great movie! Great story and would recommend to adults.

This is an excellent docudrama of reporter Gary Webb (Jeremy Renner) of the San Jose Mercury News who cracked the CIA drug smuggling scandal. The first half of the film concerns his discovery of the story, traveling and talking to individuals. After the story breaks, the champagne flows, and the US is upset. It is time for CIA damage control. It seems Mr. Webb used criminals and drug dealers as a source in a story about criminals and drug dealers so he has no reliable sources. He also is not a saint and as his sources recant their story, his life spirals downward as the messenger becomes the story.

story of reporter who gets in over his head. everything is true in what he's reporting, he just cannot prove it or get anyone from the CIA to go on the record. Renner is great. i've watched this film a couple times since buying it.

Great movie based on a true story. Jeremy Renner plays a journalist who investigated that the CIA was selling drugs to Americans. The movie shows how he rocketed to fame and then was discredited.

Very well done and thought out movie with twists and turns having one guessing what will happen
