Great way to upgrade to the bluray and get the ultraviolet copy.

This is an epic fans of King Kong wouldn't miss!!!

Even though this was in color and great sound, it does not match the original old Black and White film. Maybe my opinion is not fair as the first time I saw this film I did not know the story

this is a very good remake that I would recommend.

Although the King Kong franchise took kind of a fall with this film, still worth a watch, just be prepared for a lot of needless sequences till you get to the point that you will be asking for the movie to speed up and get to the killing of the monkey.

Good movie overall. I was surprised how much I enjoyed it.

Takes too long to get to the action, which is the point of a movie like this. Overly long and bloated, with some questionable effects and poor casting (Jack Black). If you want to watch a good Kong movie, buy Kong: Skull Island instead.

The reason I say it's no better on 4k than Blueray is because the higher definition 4k tends to expose the age of the special effects technology in the film. The greenscreen footage looks fake in 4k.

The actors and acting was horrible in this movie I call a remake of the original movie with Jeff Bridges and others. Pretty good special effects but nothing is good enough to overcome in boring movie characters.

I remember when this movie was hailed for its effects at the time. You know what they say about hindsight though. Despite this, it's still a fun time. Watching Kong fight some dinosaurs was great.

Great set of my least favorite KONG film. The 1933 Original is where it's at…and the 1976 is great. I'll even watch KING KONG lives over this. But it is well presented, despite Director PJ missing the chance to fascinate me.

Good remake but needs upto date gore amd suspense....

There have been plenty of re-releases of King Kong, but this one in particular is worth picking up, notably because of the wealth of special features. Peter Jackson's production diaries alone are well worth the purchase.

Bought this for the extended edition!! BUT the dvd the digital copy are ONLY the theatrical. Only Bluray has extended. VERY disapointed!! But the movie is great, so can't discount TOO much for disappointment

This looks absolutely incredible. BUT the digital does not allow u to watch the extended cut which is the stupidest thing ever.

This movie is good up to a certain point, then you just beg for it to end. It would have been pretty fun at about 100 minutes. I'm not sure why Jackson opted in the a 3.5 hour movie.

This reinvisioing of the timeless classic gives us some great visuals and bereathe taking detail to the classic King Kong! I bit rough for younger viewers, but an overall good time.

A little over long at 3 plus hours but the look of Kong is great & you can tell Peter Jackson put his heart & soul into this movie. Any monster movie fan should own this movie.
