Same visual and audio presentation as the previous Kong blu, which was already stellar and still holds up. A Dolby Atmos or DTS:X upgrade would've of been most welcome. Comes with tons of bonus features that were previously featured on Kong extended DVD. A digital copy of the theatrical version is available. Cool lenticular slip cover. Not bad for 10 bucks!

I was quite surprised as to how much I enjoyed this movie, I have always, and still do love the original, the old B/W 1933 movie, and all of the other remakes have always fallen short, this version of movie didn't disappoint and really captured the essence of the original, and what a bargain you can not beat the price, I highly recommend this movie.

It's been 10 years since I've seen this version of King Kong so I had to buy this Ultimate Edition Combo Pack. It came with a terrific Extended Cut which was over 3 hours long! It was also on sale and came with a free ticket for the new "Mummy" movie which made it basically free! Truly an Ultimate Edition that's worth having in your collection.

...That's probably due to my aversion to anything with that idiot Jack Black in it. No...Wait! I do know a film of his I enjoyed immensely. "Shallow Hal". But seriously, this is a fine film and a good transfer with excellent sound. The acting is quite good but I have to be honest in saying I do not much care for Jack Black. I recommend the film in spite of his being in it but remove one (1) star because of that, LOL!

If you bought the previous blu ray releases of King Kong this version is worth the double dip. Almost all previous Dvd and blu ray extras have been added with the second disc making this one of the most complete versions to buy and at a very affordable price. Great picture and sound along with the theatrical & extended versions of the movie.

In my opinion, I enjoyed King: Skull Island more. The acting here may be better, but the cast in Kong: Skull Island killed it especially John C. Reily. This film is just insanely long; however, one does not realize this throughout the film because the pacing is done in an effective way. The 4K quality is good. The level of detail on Kong himself is fantastic. 13 years after its release date the film still looks brillaint.

Watching King Kong on bluray was like watching the movie for the first time again. The sounds, cgi, and high definition were amazing to watch and hear on my 43" Samsung tv. The trex fight and end fight with planes were my favorite scenes. Anyone that likes monster/adventure type movies will love King Kong. Naomi watts also did a great job showing emotion towards Kong.

I think that "King Kong" was one of the greatest classic films of all-time and it was also one of my favorite classic films of all-time. I really enjoyed all of the action, mystery, suspense and drama that kept this film very entertaining and enjoyable. I also think that "King Kong" had a really great and amazing cast, plot and storyline as well.

Although this film has seen quite a number of home video releases over the past decade, this is the best one to date, especially if you're a completeist. This 3 disc set is packed with hours of bonus features, and the good news is that pretty much all of the previous DVD and Blu-Ray bonus features from past releases can be found here.

I love this movie! With a few exceptions (looking at you, brontosaurus stampede), this is a fantastic, very well-made movie. Sure, it’s long and self-indulgent, but I think it totally works. And the 4K transfer is really, really great. Definitely worth double-dipping for!

A great remake of the old classic. Effects and sound are far superior to the old movie. Don't especially like the relationship between beauty and the beast, but the improved quality of the rest makes up for it.

I love Peter Jackson's King Kong! I'm a fan of classic films and so are many of my friends and they consider it heresy for me to say that I think I like this film better than the 1933 original version of Kong. And the film looks amazing on 4K disc!!!

One of my favorite movies of all time. Being a fan of King Kong makes this movie 10X more enjoyable but even if you aren't a Kong fan this film is full of great scenes. The performances are great and the battles on the island is intense and exciting. The classic Kong in NY scenes are sad and compelling. Great remake of its time.

This is a very good movie and has tons of replay value, in my opinion. I find myself watching it every few months on TV anyway so I decided to add it to my collection. The 4K quality looks great and the sound quality is amazing. Has lots of bass to it and makes you feel like you're in the theater. I love it!

This is one of those movies that you should experience in blu-ray. The visual effects are best when seen in high def. I actually adore King Kong in this movie! I know that sounds weird, but what I mean is that they really give him a personality and they make him actually show emotions in a non-cheesy way. It was a pleasant surprise.

I've loved Peter Jackson's adaptation of King Kong since I first saw it (and I really appreciate that the Director's Cut is included here!) and it's been on my list of movies-to-buy for a long time. When I saw this steelbook, I knew the time had come to buy it (and it looks great with my matching Jurassic Park steelbook).

Classic King Kong...Jack Black, Adrien Brody and Naomi Watts capture all of the nuances of the original classic. The special effects takes this remake to another level and the 4K remaster is beautiful. This is a great movie.

Although this movie was made in 2005, it takes place during the 1930’s like the original King Kong (1933). It also follows the story line of the original and expands a little so the movie is longer. It is also filled with great special effects which the 4k accentuates.

This version of King Kong was not what I had expected because it was more like "Mighty Jie Young"

I could write pages about how well this movie was done, but it would just be a repeat of what has already been said. Another version of classic, but done extremely well. If your are a KK fan, JUST GET IT. The xtended version just gives youthat much more to appreciate.
