This updated version of King Kong by Peter Jackson is stunning. The visual quality and audio quality in bluray is fantastic. The story is very much like the old King Kong film but the acting ability of everyone involved makes you that more invested in the film. Recommendation for the entire family.

I just bought this on July 14th and I cant believe the picture quality!!! Its truly amazing!!! Its very sharp crystal clear and the surround sound is in DTS-X. And since im a 4k picture head, its Ultra Premium Sealed. Im so glad I purchased this Ultra HD Bluray.

I found this movie highly entertaining and adventurous. I really enjoyed how the director portrayed the post-depression civilization in the beginning of the movie. For the most part the visual were great except for some scenes where you can tell it was done with CGI. The extended version is the way to go with this movie. Don't short change yourself with the theatrical version.

This is one of the best demo worthy blurays in my 400 movie collection. It has great video and fantastic audio! Be careful because the low frequencies on this movie can shake your house off the foundation. It is a fun movie with lots of action.

King Kong (2 Disc) (Limited Edition) has the Theatrical and Extended versions as well. I watched King Kong getting better from the 1930's and the 70's, but this Version is the BEST.

This version of King Kong, starts off slow, but once they hit the island, the movie kicks into high gear. Amazing effects, and you have never seen King Kong quite like this. The Island is amazing!!! Kong has such a great place too live. The bugs, watch out for the bugs!!!

Best version of Kong yet. My only complaint was that it was too long. The dinosaurs running down the side of the cliff thing was too drawn out. Other than that, no complaints.

The movie looks and sounds great on blu-ray (and the steelbook is a nice addition). The movie itself is just too long - especially the first hour or so really drags on. But overall, a pretty cool experience on blu-ray.

We get to see King Kong vs T-Rex, how awesome is that? The movie was awesome! I love steelbooks and if you do too, you will love this in your collection.

Add this Edition, with Post Production clips from Weta and info from Peter Jackson, to Jackson's Production Diaries and you have a synopsis of a filmmaking process, without technical info. I prefer more technical info and less actors.

I grew up loving the Jeff Bridges King Kong, and still do. The realism though in this movie is amazing and also Kong does way more fighting and action in this movie. The Kong T rex scene is amazing!!!

This is just a good movie all around. Good acting for a Kong movie and really good graphics and cinematography.

King Kong is a great re-imagination of the King Kong legend. Peter Jackson has proven he can make awesome movies outside of Middle Earth.
